Michael Vick Reinstated into NFL by Roger Goodell: Should Vick be allowed to play?

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has reinstated Michael Vick into the NFL. Vick was reinstated conditionally by Goodell, who claims that Michael will be under a critical eye by his probation officer, coach, and by Goodell himself.
Roger Goodell will have the final say on whether Michael can participate in the NFL season, though he has already approved Vick to immediately sign with a team and play in two preseason games.
Michael Vick spent 18 months in prison for having a dog-fighting ring. Do you think he should now be allowed to play in the NFL?

It's ironic how people would have this man locked up for life for animal cruelty, but think it's perfectly OK to kill human babies. Lastly, an NFL team would have to be absolutely desperate for a QB to take him as he would be booed (rightfully so) whever he played.reply

KIDS KILLED BY DOGS TRAINED TO KILL FOR SPORT AND MONEY, LOTS OF MONEY! AND BY PEOPLE JUST LIKE VICK! THIS IS WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO STOP THESE MONSTERS! I have a lot of friends with Well trained and Very Friendly Pit Bulls, but then again they didn't throw puppys in the pen and encourage the Pit Bull to KILL the PUPPY... LIKE VICK DID! Vick gets NO SYMPATHY HERE, GOD gave him a mind and the freedom to choose right from wrong!reply - Peter 2009/07/29 01:02:06No, I am disagreement with Goodell, Vick should not be allowed to play in the...+1Michael Vick should not be allowed to play any sports at all. +1Yes but the NFL doesn't rule my money. Today I decided not to renew my $279 SundayTicket subscription with my DirectTv account due to Vick being reinstated. I love my Bull Terrier too much. I'm sure I will find something else to do with my Sunday mornings.

+1Big Deal. I don't much like PETA either. Their motives ?may? be good, but their Actions rise to the level of Terrorism sometimes. I don't think Vick is a Horrible Person, But what He did WAS HORRIBLE! He has been Reinstated and has a contract... the rest is up to him to prove. I hope he has learned to treat ALL GODS CREATURES with a LOT more respect. the Ball is in his hands... to make a pun.reply - crazyKaT1 Covingt... 2012/02/07 02:52:44
+2What has happened to this sicko that would turn this premeditated, callous murder, abuser, egocentric, scary, cold hearted, psychopath to suddenly 'get it' and repent... ? Have you seen the damage he is responsible for? Do you really think a sane, compassionate person could do this? He surely did NOT need the money to feed his family! He did NOT need power, or some sick form of respect... he already had all of these... He abused, and destroy the lives of helpless animals, that would do anything for their human companion just because he could... with NO COMPASSION OR REMORSE! Jail time will never change the mind set of a psychopath! (read up on the mind set of animal abusers...)reply - concerned 2009/07/28 19:14:06Yes, I am in agreement with Goodell that Vick has done his time...+4Vick is a free man .. now ... and all must move on ... - camel 2009/07/28 15:49:15Yes, I am in agreement with Goodell that Vick has done his time...Michael has done what the law has told him to do and deserves a second chance as all humans do. I was appalled by what he had done and where I'm from the practice of using dogs for fighting is not done, however, down south it is a norm and has been for a very long time,so when Michael first got caught he really didn't see anything wrong with what he had done, but now seeing that the rest of the country doesn't condone dog fighting he has and will learn from his mistakes and as humans we have to give him his second chance rather he's playing football or digging a ditch.reply
- jeffking45 camel 2009/07/30 18:08:43
It isn't considered 'normal' in the South, maybe a hundred years ago! Most dogfighting rings that are busted are in Colorado, New Mexico, and California.reply - chilove jeffking45 2009/08/15 17:47:20
dog fighting is still popular in the southreply - Covingt... jeffking45 2009/08/18 05:32:36
