And the new Regis Philbin is ... Michael Strahan! The former New York Giant will sit beside Kelly Ripa on "LIVE! with Kelly" in September, multiple sources told Broadcasting & Cable. The 40-year-old NFL star is currently a football analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, a role he is expected to retain.

Ripa has featured a rotating cast of co-hosts since Philbin left the show late last year (after 28 years on the job). Rumored replacements for Regis have included Seth Meyers of "Saturday Night Live" and Neil Patrick Harris. Do you think Strahan is the right man for the job?

bad decision, retaining people who watch the show will go down. Very few ex-football players should be more than 'analysts' for football games, most are bad actors that includes them in commercials.

They have good chemistry on the show. He looks better than some of the ones she has been trying out, only time will tell whether the audience stays or leaves.
