And the new Regis Philbin is ... Michael Strahan! The former New York Giant will sit beside Kelly Ripa on "LIVE! with Kelly" in September, multiple sources told Broadcasting & Cable. The 40-year-old NFL star is currently a football analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, a role he is expected to retain.

Ripa has featured a rotating cast of co-hosts since Philbin left the show late last year (after 28 years on the job). Rumored replacements for Regis have included Seth Meyers of "Saturday Night Live" and Neil Patrick Harris. Do you think Strahan is the right man for the job?

I didn't care much for Regis, and Michael Strahan comes off as a really nice guy. I think that he will bring some charisma that Philbin did not have.

Yes

I rarely ever watch the show since I work but Mike would be a good host, just a different kind of host. He and Regis are totally different personalities but both are funny. Mike is more laid back while Regis could be a little intense. Mike is very likable, has a good presence and is articulate, although he has a slight lisp. Now if you could replace Kelly you'd have a show. Change is inevitable but whether is works or not remains to be seen.

He will need a different host, though. Kelly is about as useless as Kathie Lee and Guda, or Cuda (whatever the hell her name is). Waste of air time.

I think he will be good. But America is probably not going to accept him. Strahan is funny. Hope he could live up to Regis. People just need to give him a chance. I guess he's not WHITE enough.........

Like all new people, it will take time to get used to them.
Kelly really bugs me though. She always interrupts people when they are talking.
She acts like just another scatter brain. And I noticed that when she voices her own opinion about something her or her culture may not be used to, she snubs something from another persons cultural norm and labels it as being wierd.
She Sucks ! in my opinion.
I never watch the show, and never will because of Kelly`s phoniness. blah, blah, blah....

Ive seen them and they are very comfortable with each other. They have flow and that is much appreciated especially when I wake up in the morning and I really don't want to do anything, This show wakes me up!
