Michael J. Fox Apologizes to Taylor Swift: Did He Owe It to Her?

For those of you who have been worrying about the rift between Taylor Swift and Michael J. Fox, you can rest easy. They have kissed and made up.

It all started at last Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, where both Fox and Swift was in attendance. Fox’s son, Sam, was Mr. Golden Globe, charged with helping hand out the golden statuettes. When host Tina Fey joked that Sam should stay away from Swift saying, "She needs some me time to learn about herself," she didn’t realize the battle she had started.

Later in the week, Vulture magazine asked Fox about Swift dating his son and he remarked, “Just back off." He continued, “I don't keep up with it all, but Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career.” He then joked that if she went out with his son, her next song might be “Sam, You Piece of Sh--.”

Swift’s fans were not too keen on the comments and showed an outpouring of support for the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer. But now according to her Twitter feed, she and Fox have patched things up. She tweeted, "Hey everybody, Michael J. Fox got in touch with me today and we are good.” What do you think? Did Fox owe Swift an apology?

Why apologize for telling the truth?. Michael probably did so just to end all the hoopla this caused. Taylor Swift needs someone else to write her songs for her , since it's obvious, if not for her 12 ex boyfriends she wouldn't be able to write a word.

As others have said "the truth hurts" and I guess Taylor Swift can't handle the truth. I mean, come on....this girl HAS built a career on broken relationships....HAS built a career on writing negative songs about her ex-boyfriends....and HAS made millions at the expense of all these guys, so what Michael J Fox had a solid ring of truth to it! If she doesn't want people making wisecracks and jokes about stuff like this, then she needs to change her style!

It's one thing to write a song about an ex, but must she and the guy appear in public, everytime she is dating a new one? She acts like she just landed her first big fish each time. On the other hand, she is still young and finding her way.

It's Taylor Swift, almost everyone makes fun of her. Someone's probably making fun of her as we answer this question. Michael J. Fox shouldn't have had to apologize, unless Taylor Swift suddenly became a punk ass that cared about every little thing people said about her over night and had her feelings hurt. She's a grown ass woman, she can handle it herself.

Joking or not a parent has a duty to weigh on on who their children date or may eventual marry. Fox is just another liberal pussy coward. Make a statement , you stand by it. You don't apologize for doing the right thing.

I agree he is the last person that should be apologizing to her for anything! He is so much better a person and actor that she will ever be a performer and what he is going through and still be on stage I can only have much support and respect for the man.

Even if he was not joking he owes no apology. I love Tater Bug but not everyone thinks she is the marshmallow in their cocoa. I would not want my daughter dating Kanye. People can get over themselves.

Talk about double standards people...If Taylor was a dude would people be complaining about her like this? Probably not why? Because guys are expected to do this much dating and brag about it but for some reason when she writes a song about it , it becomes this big no-no.

Being grown doesn't mean your parents can't speak to your defense - it merely means that you are the one making the decision.

You can be darn sure if I had a son I would be speaking against him entering into a relationship with Taylor Swift. Way I hear it, you never stop caring about your kids - you just hope they still listen and value your advice.
