1.80's Metallica
2.Megadeth
3.Slayer
4.Bullet For My Valentine
5.90's-present Metallica
6.Linkin Park
I love all 5 bands though, but Linkin Park doesn't belong in this because they are completely different than the others.
You're right about Linkin Park licensing their stuff for movies and advertisements.
By Metallica being sellouts though I was more or less just expressing my butthurt over their whole ongoing anti-Napster/anti-unlicensed downloading crusade. That just never sat well with me -- them putting out PSAs about the philosophic evils (and concrete penalties at law) of infringing upon others' so-called 'intellectual property rights' just seems like the antithesis of the anti-authoritarian, consequences-be-damned rock-n-roll lifestyle persona.
Don't get me wrong. I was a huge Metallica fan prior to about the Black album.

Metallica
Megadeth
Linkin Park
Slayer
DEFINITELY BFMV in between Megadeth and Linkin Pot...
(don't laugh - I'm dumb, but whats FTW?)
I would put Bullet For My Valentine and Linkin Park above the sellouts that are Metallica.
