thats messd up, they had stopped me from hurting myself and i know they have said it countless times. oh, ya at one of there concerts, they had been pissed with the media for calling them a suicide cult and mad the crowd say fuck them.
MCR totally helped me get through hard times................they are not emo...................do you people even know the real definition of emo.......................they are just an awesome rock band that displays there creativity a bit differently than other bands!.......................... IERO IS MY HERO...............I LOVE MANUEL TORRO..............RAY WAY...............<3
Couldn't agree more. MCR are a rock band, simple as. I don't mind EMO and there is nothing wrong with teens expressing themselves in that way, but MCR are much more mature than their years (and they are fast heading to their 30s) and their music is classic rock.
In fact they are pretty much the obvious successors to Queen's crown, their songwriting is simply the best out there at the moment.
As for those who link MCR with self-harm, well they are clearly not listening to the same band I am. Gerard and the gang are voiciferous in their support for teens and outsiders but not for self-harm or suicide. They stand for all of us who sometimes feel we don't fit in (and I'm in my 40s), and that gives people a kind of unity to hold onto, which in turn makes people stronger and less likely to do something stupid.
do they look emo?!? ...NO!!!!
etc.
MCR is definitely NOT emo!
let me type upside down for the people who can only read upside down, lol
