Didn't know Mark Wahlberg was psychic. Who the heck cares if he knows who will win? I sure don't. Okay, can he tell me if 'The Help' will win an Oscar? Can he tell me if Viola and Octavia will win an Oscar? Because that is all I care about.

Honestly, i don't see the fun behind watching a bunch of over paid people receiving statues of small, naked, golden men.

In conclusion, i really don't give a damn about what this guy thinks or says. Now if he knew how gas prices would change in the nearby future then im listening

    I find award shows pretentious.

    ~Pretentious~
Attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed.

MEH. "The Artist" is most likely going to win EVERYTHING as much as "Slumdog Millionaire".

Not meaning to insult the film! Please don't throw Nerfs balls at me! >____<

Why wasn't there a choice for WHO GIVES A RAT'S HAIRY ASS? No, I don't want to know who will win at the Academy Awards tomorrow night. And really, how does Mark Wahlberg have the inside scoop on who will win anyway? If it's just HIS predictions, hell, ANYONE could do THAT. Either he's clairvoyant, or he's guessing. My money is on the latter one. I'm not even interested in watching the Academy Awards show. Actually, I don't watch any awards shows, because they all suck. Thank God for the Internet. On Monday morning, I can get a list of the Oscar winners, and I can also get the red carpet fashion report cards from many different sources. The clothes are the best part of the evening, IMO.

He is just another liar. He could not know unless he has inside information. The Academy would be very upset if he did know.

Will it change my life to know who will win the oscars? Why do actors have to be given awards for doing their job? Do we award teachers for teaching, doctors for saving lives, soldiers for dying?
  • Papillon Lilymoon 2012/02/25 17:54:01

A lot of it is. probably more than sport awards. OOOOH! I feel left out because I don't have a nobel prize! Or a Heisman trophy! Or a doctorate degree It offends me that it's on tv and doesn't include me! What to do! What to do! Some would say, ignore it and go live life, that's what to do.

Interesting is that the films nominated for Best Picture all have done poorly at the box office including the favorite, "The Artist".

I'm not even going to watch this year. I just want the red carpet so I can see beautiful gowns on beautiful people. About 95% of the movies nominated are ones I've never even heard of, anyway. I prefer the "fun" awards shows: Teen Choice, People's Choice, Kids' Choice, both MTV awards shows, etc. Oh, the music ones, too: Grammys, Billboard.
