I hated school as a kid. I would have quit in a heartbeat.

Now, I keep going back for more degrees and training.

Wanted to, but ended up going to college.....twice. A degree, in something practical, is really worth something.

Honestly I have had the slight inkling of dropping out ONCE but then I thought of what my parents would do to me... choking bart GIF

Not only my deep fear of my parents killing me but also the knowledge how important high school is.

I did drop out, but I lived right across the street from the principal. He bugged me everyday or every time he saw me, encouraging me to go back to school. I didn't go back to school, but I did go back to get my GED. I quit high school to get married, I was not with child, I just wanted to be married. I later went back to business college and took business courses and brush up courses in typing and shorthand. I am very glad that I did complete my high school education, I have been very successful in always maintaining good employment, and was able to raise my children and encourage them to complete their education. They have done well and went on to receive college degrees. Had I not went back to get my GED and increase my professional learning, the outcome would not have been as well where my children were concerned.

Kudos to Mark for getting some closure on that part of his life. It's never to late to further your education.

I'm very dedicated to completing high school and at least 4 years of college. Unfortunately, I feel like I don't have a passion in any particular stable career. I hope I find out something about myself soon.

honestly, im at that point, where i dont see the point in anything anymore. i'd rather just do online school rather than waste my highschool years in a school that im miserable at anyway.

Misread the question. I suppose you're talking about dropping out of high school. Nope, never thought about dropping out of high school. But, I have seriously considered dropping out of college, though. Will I actually go through with it? Not a chance.

With my depression and insomnia I'd be so tired I wanted to just quit going to school and just start a job then decided that I was too smart to let the other stupid kids take my rightfully claimed scholarships and awards for being so good. I hated the whole experience up until four months into my senior year. I'm really glad I didn't drop out because now I'm onto doing greater things.

Not of High School and I will forever and a day regret dropping out of College.
I was given a few different Opportunities @ a few diff schools, but I don't think I was mature enough to realize the Great Opportunity I had. Chasing the Man of the Moment around seemed more important at the time :/

Yes and I did drop out. I got my GED... by the way, GED doesn't mean "Bad Influence". People judge others with a GED and it's just wrong... A GED can get you just as far as a diploma (If not farther). If High School isn't for you, then it just isn't. There's nothing wrong with leaving High School (Just as long as you get a GED)... Cuz in the end... A GED is really the same as a diploma...

I hit the wrong button...No, I never wanted to "drop out", and worked full time all through high school and college even. I saw him at the fights in LV and remembered him in the movie about fighters that he was so terriffc in. He seemed to be only studying the fights when I saw him last!

I graduated from high school - and am so thankful that I did. I've been considering taking some online college courses. I say "more power to you Mark" -- Thanks for being a good role model by doing this.

And I did. High school just wasn't for me, however college is. I just don't see the point of high school unless you plan on going to a big name school directly after graduation. I would have started off at a community college either way, so not completing high school didn't make any difference at all.

Dropped out of HS in first semester of 10th grade, walked in to take my G.E.D. test three months later (I didn't have to take the GED classes), passed and went to 2 yr college and then university. Best thing I ever did but it's not for everyone. I had to provide for my mother and brother.
