i only know the song the beautiful people by him and i love that song
but i think hes rlly weird as a person i think hes taking it maybe just a little bit too far
Saw him live at Perth, he wasn't too bad but he's just weird! I guess I was expecting a lot more because of all the hype they say about his stage show and him.
A new level of what? He added white pancake make-up and a contact lens lol. That's taking it to a new level? Danzig took it to the next level. Rob Zombie took it to a new level. Slipknot took it to a new level. I like some of MM's music. I have 5 or 6 of his tracks on my playlists. But I just don't think he is very original or innovative. He's all shock and no substance.
I have seen the band four times now: at the beginning of the "AntiChrist Superstar" tour in 1997 - for the "Guns, God & Government" tour in 2001 - as the headliner at the Rockstar Mayhem Festival shortly after the release of "High End of Low" in 2009 - and last September for the start of the "We're From America" tour. (So, twice last year.)
I met Manson and spent some time with him back in 1998. He is... well, much needed. I greatly prefer the content of the older material (I have tapes & discs going back to the late 80's and early 90's) but even a lot of the heart & soul poured into "High End of Low" is a drastic slap compared to what is popular right now. It was great to be a part of the early *Manson Family* (their original fanclub) and it was a spectacular thing to watch as Manson grew and gripped America by it's dark & curlies and beat them with their picket signs.
It's a painful thing to know that he no longer has the audience or the general public's attention the way he used to but that's the nature of things. To quote Pink Floyd: "the child has grown and the dream is gone."
Nuff said XD

Alice Cooper did it first, did it better, kept innovating.
I don't like or hate him. Worse. I don't care.
Alice Cooper
Marilyn just took it to a new level
