You might want to keep your top on from now on, Kate Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are furious at a French magazine that published paparazzi photographs of Kate sunbathing topless in France.
Slamming Closer magazine for publishing the pics, the couple's office said Friday that "their royal highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and unjustifiable manner," The New York Times reports.
In the images, Kate was sunbathing at a villa in Provence (where sunbathing topless is de rigueur). But, the royal couple truly believed that nobody was watching them. "Their royal highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them. Officials acting on behalf of their royal highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to the Duke and Duchess," the statement continued.
This is only the latest embarrassment for the royal family. Last month, various media outlets published photographs of Kate's brother-in-law, Prince Harry, partying naked in Las Vegas.
Well, the moral of the story is, if you're as famous as Kate Middleton, you're better off keeping your bikini top on! From Kate's topless pics to Prince Harry's various photo ops, click through our slideshow and let us know: What's the biggest British royal family scandal?

It's BIG, yeah. NOT THE BIGGEST though.
And yes, that's what I said, no need to repeat it? .3.
Sounds like you have never played strip poker.
What makes him Royal is a long line of respect, influence, the law and the work that he does for his country. Prince Harry is a serving member of the armed forces and I accord those every respect they are due and a few extra privileges. Why? Because they work to keep me safe. Playing a game of strip poker is nothing.
Do you think your average joe would have been printed all over the front page? No. Why? Because they are of no interest. The Royal family undergo an awful lot of scrutiny for what wealth they have and it is only right that they should be allowed to let down their hair.
Standards are overrated, conservative-ism is too boring. Live a little.
Kate Middleton topless, yes, but not Di!
