Madonna Fans Poke Fun at Isreal-Iran Tensions: Effective or Inappropriate?

The world is waiting in anxious anticipation to see if Israel will attack Iran before the country secures -- or worse yet, employs -- nuclear weaponry, but one group of Israelis is pleading with their government to put off the attack and hold on to peace... At least until May 29. Because guys, Madonna is playing in Tel Aviv that night, and if there's a war going on it will totally put a damper on the performance.

According to ABC News, Madonna fans in Israel are promoting a semi-serious campaign to prevent war until Madonna performs. Kobi Zvili, who started a Facebook page for the cause, wrote, "War of any kind is bad, we call on leaders, prime minister Netanyahu and [Defense Minister Ehud] Barak, to avoid any attack of any kind against Iran or whatever, at least until Madonna’s tour visit in Israel ... We are pro peace. We love Madonna, and it’s just our humorous way of dealing with not so humorous life in the middle east."

The Israelis can take a page out of the Palestinian / Hamas playbook and use Madonna as a human shield... Then if the Arabs attack Israel the Israelis can use social media and pop-culture media to claim victimhood status

She, a lot of other narcissistic performers, thinks she is a politician as well as an entertainer. Please if she wants to be a politician, she should run for office and get elected first before she thinks she can make a difference politically. People do not buy her records and tickets for her political punditry. Madonna should not give up her day job for politics. Iran with its mad mullahs and nuclear weaponry is a threat to the Middle East and world peace. What Madonna thinks is totally irrelevant since she does not represent anybody but herself.

war should be avoided at all costs and entered into only when every other avenue of negotiation/mitigation has been thoroughly exhausted, so if Madonna's concert will hold off the dogs of war a little longer, terrific; how could trying to stop a war be "inappropriate"? it's WAR that's inappropriate--

So the Civil War in the United States was about nothing. World War 2 ... nothing again. Im still trying to find all that money we made in Iraq and Im sure that there are people in Africia that wish someone would come in a help them from being butchered. Its easy to sit her in the states and protected from from people walking though your village with rifles killing those whom have diffrent beliefs. Yes war is bad and no one likes it
