TMZ brings tragic news concerning one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all time, "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Savage, whose real name was Randall Mario Poffo, rose to fame in the WWF in the late '80s with his catchphrase, "Oohhhhhh yeaahhhhh!" He was also the official spokesperson for Slim Jim snack foods in the '90s, where he popularized the phrase, "Snap into a Slim Jim!"
Our hearts go out to his family, and especially to his wife Lynn, whom he married just last year.
TMZ spoke with Randy's brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 9:25 AM ... and lost control of his vehicle. Savage was 58.

Chris - The Rowdy One! #187 2011/05/20 20:38:59Yes+16The Macho Man was a wonderful wrestler and very colorful character. He will be missed. Prayers for his wife and family.

Columbus , Ohio boy. RIP Randy
lol
He made wrestling fun... Who can forget him and Ms. Elizabeth as the "power couple" of the wrestling world. They were like royalty.. : )
He'll be missed that's foresure...
May he rest in peace.
Possibly a bigger icon of the 80s and 90s than any other rassler, anyone who was arund back then must have gotten a kick out of his wild character.
Though he played the heel so well some folks believed it, it is my understanding that he was a decent man.
he's a wrestler right?
