I do crunches, but the only TRUE weight loss strategy is to burn more than you consume. There are also natural appetite suppressants that can assist you, but the only two I know of off-hand are green tea and miracle berries.
There are several variations of crunches as well. Try using one of the large rubber balls.
Running on a treadmill for 30 minutes or an elliptical if you have bad joints. Then a bike machine for 20, then do leg presses and lift weights.
Sit ups are the last exercise I do in my workout, but that's for overall weight loss/toning/etc.
Generally I try not to eat after working out because in order to lose weight, you must burn more than you consume, although if you decide to eat, eating directly after the workout is the smartest option because your body is still burning calories. Eat meat. You'll need protein NOT carbs so try eggs or any other kind of food filled with proteins. You'll likely be hungry a few hours later because protein doesn't keep you full like carbs do, but it is an effective way to lose weight and get into shape. As long as you don't mind a bit of discomfort that is.
belly fat is gained fast, but is also lost fast. just keep moving a lot, dont be lazy, drink water rather than sugarly drinks, take yoghurt rather than chocolate pudding or ice creams, eat regular three times a day with no in-betweens. belly muscle exercises are not necessary
yeah, I mean like, taking a walk, instead of the bus (or: get off one step earlier), taking the stairs instead of the elevator, change TV channel by hand, rather than with the remote. It's all about integrating moving in daily life, and not so much an issue of having to heavy sports or jogging or whatever.

crunches/sit-ups would get you defined but they don't really keep the fat off
