Looking for a reliable, not over the top expensive POCKET GUN, up to .380.

Lots of people are recomending Keltec and Pheonix for relibility and value for the money. What do you think. I like the double safety on the Phoenix and the long triger pull as a safety on the Keltec equally well. Just a matter of money?
You!

    I've never heard anyone recommend Phoenix, for any reason. They're cheap crap.

    Kel Tec is good though, yes. The P3AT is one of the most popular .380s on the market and served as "inspiration" to a lot of the newer pistols (read: the design was shamelessly copied).

    The Ruger LCP is a good choice...mainly because it's one of of the pistols that was "inspired" by the P3AT. The one advantage of the LCP is that it's more available than the P3AT. Kel-Tec is a small operation and their products are in high demand, it's often hard to track their stuff down.

    hoot.When you say pocket gun do you referred to gun to stick in your pocket (kel tec .380) or just small -I have $1300 HAND GUNS & $85 handguns -I have to say i carry my kel-tec more than any.The best deal on small reliable &accurate; 380 acp for any body to easily shoot-In my opinion- are Bersa thunder 380-$225 at gun shows .Walther ppk size.As you mite know the smaller the gun the harder it is to hit something .Everybody who has owned one love them.Men &woman.;

    Been carrying a Beretta 32 tomcat INOX Stainless for over a year now. Nice little gun, in an in side the waistband holster. Also have a Stoger 9 and a Kimber 1911 45 classic.

    The Ruger LCP is my weapon of choice for concealed carry. I can tote it in my front pocket and not be inconvenienced by it's size and weight, much unlike my Glock 26.

    S&W; just came out with some new models this year at the shot show. They are hammer fired, not striker.
    Because some of the ammo comming in won't fire on the first try (ftf),
    and You don't want that .

    Ssgtwaldo is giving some really good advice also.
    Buy a glock 9mm. If you like them, You can't beat them.

    Glock has a nice .380. Kahr is another good one. Ruger's LCP is a great one. If money is a problem I would go with a 9mm. The ammo is much cheaper and all a .380 will do is piss off the person you had to shoot. The Kahr in 9mm is close to the 380 in size and the Ruger is one of the smallest.. Same thing for the Glock 26. I have one on now and if you will look you can find a used one in the 350 375 $ range. Remember you get what you pay for and your life is on the line so choose well. Hope this helps....

    PS. Out of a thousand rounds I have experienced NO malfunction. Not one. Same for my G-19
    and it has had 5-6000 rounds through it without a malfunction.

    I have read some favorable reports on both of the one's that I discussed. I own a Stroger 9mm and a Kimber 1911 moder 45. Carry both occasionally but they are too bulky for pocket. Just missed a real nice .32 Baretta in a pawn shop. Will keep lookin' till I find what I want I guess. Everyones preference is their own. I like the Keltec for the thinness and weight. Many of the police officers in this local carry on as a back up weapon. Hearing good reports from them too. The guy that owns the local gun shop is a police officer and that's what he is carrying as well as his Glock.

    When I hit the link to this page I get a 404 message. I had to come to your page and find the link here, and then it worked. Some one is messing with the internet, so maybe we should be aware of this. When ever I get a 404, I always go to the persons page and go from there. A conspiracy? Maybe, but this post is about guns, so you decide. . .
    Who is in charge here?
