LL Cool J Detains Home Invader: Bad Ass or Just Plain Stupid?

Earlier this week, LL Cool J got into a violent confrontation with a man in his home in Los Angeles, California. Reportedly when the rapper heard noises coming from downstairs on Wednesday morning, he went to check it out and found a stranger his kitchen.

When the intruder attacked, LL Cool J lost his... er, cool... and began fighting back, breaking the man’s nose, jaw and ribs. Apparently when he sang “Mama Said Knock You Out,” he wasn’t kidding. The singer-turned-actor managed to detain his attacker until cops arrived. A rep for LL said he “is committed to keeping his family safe.” Given his super buff body and ability to act under pressure, they seem to be in really good hands.

The man, who was apparently a transient with a prior record for burglary and assault may face similar charges in this incident. LL will most likely not take any official heat on his end since he was acting in self-defense. And while we commend Cool J for protecting his family, we can’t help but wonder if he went too far. Maybe he should have called the cops and let them handle the situation? What do you think? Is LL Cool J bad-ass or just plain stupid?

I mean really, what the Hell was LL suppose to do, offer this unwanted intruder Milk & Cookies while the cops arrived.

The robber broke into LL Cool J’s house and someone wants to know if he’s stupid for whupping dat ass? What kind of question is that? He lost his cool? That means he probably tried to talk to that MA F-CKER AND TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS MAKING A MISTAKE AND THE ROBBER PROBABLY WOOFED AND THREATNED HIM. After all, he broke in right? I don’t follow LL Cool J but doesn’t give me the impression that he’s a bad ass. I mean if you’re going to call someone stupid you’d better know him before you do that, right? He whupped dat ass and the questioner wants to know if HE was stupid? DAMN! Maybe Cool J realized that he would be STUPID HE DIDN’T WHUP THAT MA F—KA. Let the cops handle it? When? After he robs LL Cool J’s home and leaves and they’d have to find him. Do you really think that the cops would do that? They’d probably let that go because it wasn’t a priority. That is until he kills someone. Then we’d be hearing about all the complaints and that the police didn’t do anything, etc.

If he had waited for the cops, he'd be dead...this is a stupid question. Here in the NW, a gun would have been used. The one's that voted he should have waited for police are the dead home invasion victims we read about in the newspaper. Kudos to him for protecting his home as is his legal right.

A man's home is his castle. LL had the means to defend it and he did. I wouldn't put it as "Bad Ass" as there may come another who he can't match. He needs to up his security and the courts need to stop playing around with these repeat intruders.

He took action and it seemed reasonable. Its his house and its nice to see a sensible person not charging in with guns. Its almost un-American! Thank goodness.
