Lindsay Lohan's Probation Is Revoked: Does She Deserve a Harsh Punishment?

It looks like Lindsay Lohan’s luck has finally run out. So far she’s glided through car crashes, a jewelry theft, probation violations and a whole lot of other antics with just a few hours in jail, some time in rehab and a stint at the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. But as of Wednesday morning, her latest round of missteps has resulted in her probation being revoked. At her upcoming court date, LiLo will learn her fate.

For a while there, it seemed like Lohan was on the right track, while she rode out her days under scrutiny for stealing a necklace in 2011. She seemed to clean up her act, stop her partying ways and land a job playing Liz Taylor for Lifetime.

But after allegedly lying to the cops about not being behind the wheel in a car crash in Malibu last summer, Lindsay has found herself in some serious trouble with the court yet again. She didn’t appear Wednesday and doesn’t have to show up on January 15 unless she has another violation between now and then.

Lohan will find out if she’ll be sentenced to up to 245 days in the slammer but, by all accounts, Commissioner Jane Godfrey historically isn’t known for sentencing people to jail time. So Lindsay may get off easy yet again. What do you think? Does she deserve a harsh punishment?

If they want to give her a chance to live yea; it's a matter of time before she OD's. Plus get real if she wasn't an "actress" she would've done time already.

Lindsay Lohan's luck has not truly been good luck. She is not a happy well person. IMHO. I saw a movie she did where she played twins, one good and one not good. Great acting. Media killed it. I am inclined to think the media likes to pick a female entertainer to constantly verbally destroy or attempt to destroy. I did not see her E. Taylor's show as it conflicted with something else in my life. That is the only reason I did not watch it. I feel for this child. I want her to be helped and out of the public eyes.

Yes, Yes, Yes, it is way past time to put her in jail. Real jail, and give her more that a few days to think about it. It is just super sad to see her, her mom & dad and all the disfunction. What a waste of time and money. She is over 21 and needs to grow up, plenty waiting in line for their 15 minutes.

It seems that she hasn't learned from the other light punishments, So many a harsher one will set her straight.

With everything she's done...she's had the "easy road"...and it's not helping her AT ALL. The girl needs to serve some real jail time like other criminals who break the law. I don't care if she can "pay her way out" our justice system needs to stop being bought by the rich.

But only in forced rehab. She needs to change direction. Someone has to get through to her. AND someone needs to deport her parents to a desert island.

I said no BECAUSE she doesn't deserve a harsh punishment. She deserves to get the exact same punishment that you or I would get in the exact same situation.

She has effectively begged for someone to defy her charming personality and ignore her relentless desire to let her do what she wants, dispite the danger she poses for people around her! She's simply just not worth the pain in the ass she has become!

She violated her parole/probation terms. A few months in jail might straighten her out.

She needs to learn responsibility, forget jail, fines or things she can obviously deal with. need to find something that will really affect her.. force her to go without makeup except for work and having to use the city bus system. or better yet, make her get a non-acting job, say...garbage collector (not the driver please) or some other labor based "blue collar" job.

She should be forced into a year long rehab and maybe she will get in in her head that she should never take that first drink.

She will get off without consequences, because of her wealth and fame. Thus, she will never learn, and will continue her behavior until she is seriously injured or dies.

I say a full year. Long enough to save her life and make an impression on her. Oddly, i think it might sensitize her to life. It seems growing up in her family has desensitized her to so much of what life is really about and just how worthwhile it can be. I really can't get a bead on how smart she is, i know she's not educated (a mistake i think, but not too late) but in prison maybe she'll get the message from those around her one way or another.

Lindsey has had ample oppertunity to straighten up and fly right and has blown
each and every one to date. I think that it's high time for LiLo to receive some
serious punishment. Perhaps then, she'll wake up and smell the coffee, and
learn for the first time in her adult life, TO BE GOOD!

What she needs is some real punishment; what she's had so far have really just been slaps on the wrist. What she's learned is that she can get away with disobeying the rules and it won't cost her much. Make her pay enough (and I'm not just talking about money here), and she will learn that she has to follow the rules just like the rest of us. Some people take longer to learn this lesson than others.

    She's a clown.

The judge should have her put on a clown costume and make her walk around Hollywood for a week or two, holding up a sign that says "THIS IS WHAT BEING STUPID GOT ME".

Lindsey has had multiple chances and she keeps doing all this stuff because she seems to think she (like a lot of others in the spotlight) are untouchable. Time for her to have to deal with the reality of it just as any normal person would if they had done what she has. Hopefully she will come out on the other side a better person for it.

I'm sorry, but subjecting anyone to the jails will just ruin them even more psychologically. And so I'd rather she just has to wear a fat suit or something for one month. Maybe wear clown shoes.

The "justice system" in this country is so screwed up. Mandatory Hospitalization would be better.
