Finally someone is coming forward with a theory about why Lindsay Lohan has had so many problems that might just make sense. Unfortunately, the source in question is LiLo’s own mom. Dina Lohan has decided to air some pretty disturbing family laundry in an effort to explain why her own kid is, as she called it, “so screwed up.”

As disturbing as that sentiment might be coming from a mother, the facts she laid out could drive any kid to have a string of issues as long as Lindsay’s has become. Among her many allegations, Dina says that her ex-husband, Michael Lohan, physically abused her in front of their kids while they were growing up.
The 50-year-old stage mom also claims that Michael raped her on Valentine’s Day in 1990 while the kids were sleeping -- and produced notes from an ER examination that indicate the hospital called the police and a coalition for abused women. Michael says the events that unfolded that night were consensual and Dina only changed her tune after finding Michael was with his girlfriend later that evening.

Of course, the fact that the troubled young starlet was seen partying with her mom just last week in London might be contributing to her ongoing struggles. As for his views on his ex-wife, Michael has simply stated, “She is the devil.” So maybe Dina’s right and they really are the reason that Lindsay is having so many problems. Do you agree?

Hell yeah her parents are to blame for this. where have they been? what the hell are they doing? be parents, put down some restraints and straighten out your daughter
Spoiled Disney brat needed spanking, grounding, and some serious humility installing chores. Cleaning out litter boxes, horse stalls, the back of the crisper with the veggies you forgot about, scrubbing bathrooms, etc. Nothing brings a person back down to earth quicker than hard work and a few dirty jobs.
If she has issues with her parents then she needs to seek help with those problem so that she can move passed it and go on with her life.
I wish her all the happiness in the world and truly hope she gets her life back in order soon.
She is a celebrity with a lot of potential for a strong career. I am sure the lime light is terrifying at times but it also can give you access to a lot of things. You may choose if you want to use that access to find help or to continue to cause damage.
I have also lived through some hard times. Luckily for me my mother sought out counselling for my brother and I and I was also lucky enough to have many loving and supporting people in my family circle that helped me to become the person I am today. Which is not a junked out young man throwing his life away.
Many people have lived through far worse than Miss Lohan. Take Viktor Frankl, now this maybe an extreme example, but he is a great example of some one who has lived through hardship and chosen to deal with it correctly. Frankl was a holocaust survivor who went on to be a very influential neurologist and psychologist. He has also been integral to the development of theories around resilience. They key component to whether or not we choose to deal...

Now I am not arguing to lay blame on victims. No victim is to blame for their circumstance. And they must be given the room to work through the things that have caused them harm however far to often our society looks at being a victim as a incurable disorder. As we do with many things in a cure or no cure based society, but I would like to argue there are no cures. There are only practices.
If you want to build a strong body you don't pump your self full of drugs and go to the gym once or twice hoping to walk away looking like Arnold. Rather you must put in work every day to make decisions that will build and maintain a strong body. Just as you must do to build a strong mind, a successful career or family.
Lohans parents may not have given her the tools to be the well adjusted young woman we all pretend we want her to be. But it is her choice to use the tools she does have to lead a more successful potentially seemingly less interesting, less tabloid worthy life. Just as we all do.
