Hold on a second ... Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor? Believe it or not, it's confirmed. Lifetime television announced that the probation queen is going to play the legendary actress in "Liz & Dick," a TV movie based on the violet-eyed beauty's storied romance with actor Richard Burton.

"We are thrilled Lindsay will portray beloved Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor," said Rob Sharenow, executive vice president, programming, of Lifetime Networks. "She is one of the rare actresses who possesses the talent, beauty and intrigue to capture the spirit of such a provocative icon."

Lohan added, "I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role."

Last year, Deadline.com reported that Martin Scorsese was eyeing Angelina Jolie to play Liz in another movie based on the Taylor-Burton love story. Seemed a fitting choice: Not only does Angie have the looks, Liz caused the Brangelina scandal of the day when her fourth husband Eddie Fisher left his wife Debbie Reynolds to be with her.

I truly think that Megan Fox, looks wise, would have been a great choice to portray the fabulously talented and beautiful glamourous Hollywood legend, AIDS activist and philanthropist Elizabeth Taylor, God rest her soul however, maybe this will prove once and for all, to anyone in the business that Lohan may need to focus on other things outside of making movies. Just a thought but perhaps, Lohan will wow and this will put her once sizzling career back on track after all, many in Hollywood consider her to be a very talented actress.

Megan Fox may have the right facial shape and eyes, but let's face it, she's a terrible actress, she's vapid, inconsiderate and it'd be an insult to Ms Taylor's memory to let her be played by such a woman.

My choice would have been Angelina Jolie, simply because of the unique facial shape, grace and acting ability. But Lindsay will be good too, she's a talented actress that seems to have alot of interest in the old hollywood glam (see her multiple Marilyn Monroe inspired photoshoots)

As much as I don't like Jolie, she does have the glamour thing going on that is so reminiscent of old Hollywood of which Elizabeth Taylor was a part, and she has the beauty. She will need some violet contacts and a dye job, but I think she would be a decent choice. But Lindsay Lohan is not even pretty. I can't even imagine what anybody could be thinking casting Lindsay Lohan to play Elizabeth Taylor.

His stupidity, while amusing, doesn't make up for the fact that what he says is offensive and uncalled for. And he's shaming the punisher name. He hasn't gotten the best of me, I merely felt the need to point out that what he was saying wasn't right, it wasn't cool, it was just plain rude.
