Things are looking up for Lindsay Lohan! The 25-year-old actress is almost done with her court-ordered community service, her probation reports have been positive, and she has been booked to host “Saturday Night Live” in March. But can she stage a comeback?

Lindsay Lohan

On Saturday, “SNL” announced that Lohan would host the sketch comedy show on March 3, alongside musical guest Jack White. Lohan doesn’t have any projects to promote, but, after her stints in jail and rehab, she does need to improve her public image. According to TMZ, Lohan hopes that her appearance on "SNL" will remind people that "she's an actress . . . not a defendant."

Lohan has always had an interesting relationship with “SNL.” She hosted multiple times in the mid-2000s—even as rumors began to circulate that Lohan’s life and career were spiraling. The show’s creator Lorne Michaels has long been a Lohan advocate and reportedly staged an intervention to confront the actress about her eating disorder in 2006.

The recent success of her nude photo spread in Playboy magazine seems to indicate that Lohan’s star power has survived her legal troubles. But what do you think SodaHeads? Can Lindsay Lohan make a comeback?

I hope not. I am really tired of self centered spoiled brats. She takes zero responsibility for her actions and doesn't respect herself enough to take care of herself by working on kicking her drug habit. I was invited to a celebrity dinner through a charity foundation I support and she was there putting on a show like some lowlife. She was drunk, stoned, dancing and falling all over herself. Her hair was dirty, she was drooling, slurring her words and everyone else was there to help kids with cancer, yet she felt the need to turn an event to raise money for sick children into a Lindsey event....and she looked disgusting!! Skinny in a sick way. In fact, she looked like any homeless person except her dress and shoes were expensive. She eventually was escorted out of the event so the charity auction could continue and the focus went back to helping sick children. I really think she is worthless. Who does that knowing that this event could raise enough money to give countless children operations? As far as I am concerned she should not get any more acting jobs and have to make a living like the rest of America does. Perhaps that will wake her up to reality!!!!

Lohan could be an accident waiting to happen like Whitney if she doesn't stay clean. The comeback is all up to her.

Lindsay Lohan at one time actually had some talent. With all the drugs and booze, I'm not sure she will ever come back. I hope she is able to straighten herself out, otherwise she will end up dying at a very young age.

Wonderful movie, but her part would have been complete garbage if she hadn't gotten naked. It's the only option she has left I think.

She probably 'could'. But why do we care? She is, evidently, a talented actor. So what? There are many.

Why do we indulge those self destructive and self indulgent fame seekers?

She's been given the benefit of doubt so many times that the masses has turned to go the other way. (get it right, she's not a young girl!!! ) This woman knows the difference between wrong and right; and she continues to throw the finger at what's left of her few fans. Stop enabling her, don't let her make money unless she is absolutely sober and clean of any drugs; even aspirins. We're not putting her back on a pedestal; because she has not earned any credits from the public that once supported her. Its time to move on and give other young aspiring actors, actresses or entertainers a chance. Its too many people that are talented and eager to work and give perfect performances without drugs or alcohol or just being a spoiled brat. She's old tired news; and we're sick of holding up drug induced drunks! There are others well deserving of the spotlight minus the stupidity.

I feel you; I have a heart, but you can stand with a person in their times of falling weak to drugs and or alcohol or even pill abusers. They promise to get help and stay 2or3days then leave; because they don't want to go through the steps of truely cleaning up. That is what she does, so you can't help or support someone who don't want to help themselves'

So what do you mean about re-invent herself?
just like saying color her hair and clean her up; give her a bath, put on new clothing, a manicure and pedicure also a little makeup and pretty shoes. 'wow' re-invented. All of that stuff does not change the fact that she's a drug addict and drunk.
That's just like putting bandaids on her to cover underlying drug and drinking problems.
You can't reinvent yourself on the inside by slapping something on the outside. Gotta get help for the illness on the inside.

Exactly. I just have a firm belief that people CAN change, IF they want to. The most religious family man I know used to be a heroin junkie. He changed, he reinvented himself. Linday can do that too if she wants to.

Hey stop making excuses for this broad; that is called enabling all things bad and or negative that she does!!! Hold her totally accountable for all the unimpressive crap she does! Make her prove her worth of attention from not just us in the united states ; but from people all over the world. Don't these people in the entertainment business realize that they are representing to the people of the world all over. Who they are what part of the business they are representing and from what country and state they are representing ;and all the people that made it possible for them to shine, including the citizens who take notes and that would be all of us. Start taking responsibility for all your negative actions; because the public is sick and tired of being sick and tired of your antics, when your fans drop you; you know you're fired! and your money start drying up, then you have to get a real job like everyone else. Start being a productive person that's responsible; instead of a destructive person that can't be trusted to represent anyone.
This is a new age and new signs of the time for not allowing old habits of drugs and drinking and unflattering conducts coming from these people who depends on our funds to make their lifestyles.

"enabling",... And just how is that since no excuses were made unless you consider stating the facts about her being stoned and drunk is somehow making an excuse for her. She has let drugs and alcohol destroy her life and acting career, very poor decisions on when to party and when to work.

But, I seriously don't know what your rant at me is about other than you don't like anyone that doesn't condem the dumb girl,
  • barby k... Kaimeso 2012/02/20 18:14:30 (edited)
    barby karring
So as you stated...drugs.alcohol.poor decisions. And dumb! "Whoa" who wants all that negative energy up in their space.
There are lots and lots of fresh clean acting graduates that have not abused their bodies with drugs and alcohol. It's time the light shine on them and they are given the chance this woman was given (that she's blown over and over again, she don't have star qualities anymore face it, we are sick of this spoiled brat and has been actress'
She don't care so we don't care either! She flips the finger at her once supporting fans!
Don't take it personal; because people will agree or disagree with you or me. That's called a juicy debate; neither one of us is trying to win a glass cookie. I respect your input or opinion so chillout'
  • Kaimeso barby k... 2012/02/20 18:25:45

Well you have a couple of options, the first would be to just not watch anything Lohan is involved with. I tend to just ignore her as a "has been" for the most part but do understand how some shows will try anything for attention. Besides, people always stop to see a train wreck.

The second option is go to Hollywood and take over the entertainment industry so it can be operated to your own personal policies. Since there is not much chance of that anything else is just ranting and does nothing contructive.

Then here is the "we" part of your rant, "we" tends to indicate that you are speaking for a lot more than just yourself, obviously not.
  • barby k... Kaimeso 2012/02/20 21:22:47
    barby karring
I speak for a lot more than myself; that is true. And how do you know whether or not I'm in the industry or not? That's your insinuation. My family is in the entertainment business. You keep coming off as a sore loser and yet we are not competing for anything. I intend to make sure she straighten up her act or she get no more of the public's money for any of her products by protesting. Now you can rant at me all you want but the subject is closed to an enabler of drug abuse and alcohol abuser! She's not an example any youth can look up to as. "role model' I put it here for her to read; what's your reason?
