Celebrity tattoos are a dime a dozen, but that doesn't make them any less intriguing. What better way to get a glimpse at their inner life than scoping out their permanent markings?
That goes doubly for Lindsay Lohan, whose frequent run-ins with the law and subsequent house arrest made her the flavor of the week for months. No matter how many times she says she's a changed woman, she just can't seem to keep herself out of the news. And every time she pops up we get the distinct impression she's not being honest with the public.
Not that she's obligated to, of course, but it does make us wonder what's going on inside that formerly ginger head of hers.
Which brings us to her latest tattoo.
TMZ broke the pictures, which appear to have been taken specifically for public consumption. They show two lines of a Billy Joel song, "I Go to Extremes," located on her rib, just below her bra.
The lines read "Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife / I feel like I'm in the prime of my life."

That's... interesting. If this is the "prime of her life," we're concerned. And "clear as a crystal," huh? Did the house arrest really clear her mind that much?
Like much of what Lohan says and does, the tat is a little ambiguous. It sounds genuine -- it's a tattoo, after all -- but it doesn't seem to fit our perception of the actress. To us, it suggests she's either trying to convince herself she's in a good place, or there's a lot more to her than we realize.
Whatever. It's her body, her ink. We hope there's some truth to it, for her sake.
(Except for that "prime of my life part." Again, for her sake.)

Aside from her mostly changing her mind in a year or so,
I think for an actress they are a career liability.
Worse when your career is in need of a major upgrade.
rose
"Well, you went uptown ridin' in your limousine
With your fine Park Avenue clothes
You had the Dom Perignon in your hand
And the spoon up your nose
Ooh, and when you wake up in the mornin'
With your head on fire
And your eyes too bloody to see
Go on and cry in your coffee
But don't come bitchin' to me"
There we go.
