Lindsay Lohan Cancels Barbara Walters Interview: Is She Avoiding Difficult Questions?

Yet, Barbara won't throw the real hardball questions anyway.

Barbara Walters pulls no punches. She's a very tough, direct interviewer.

Maybe she doesn't feel like being interrogated by Baba Wawa.... I sure as hell wouldn't, although Linsay could interrogate me anytime.

There is no requirement to answer questions in the USA. In an unrelated but entertaining sidebar a court in Australia ruled last week that it is acceptable to tell a policeperson to 'f**k off'. The poor sad little tosser officer took someone to court for it and lost so they will probably require 8 weeks of stress leave on full pay to cope with the dangers of the job.

Just like her mom's major catastrophic interview with Dr. Phil McGraw she knows that would be the nail in her coffin for good. She is nothing short of white trash and she has her parents to blame for the way she ended up.

Barbara Walters is known for making her interviewees cry. I will never forget her making Patrick Swayze cry. I never watched her after that, it was despicable. As for LL, she needs to grow up and get in a real rehab and clean her life up.

I saw that interview with Patrick Swayze. She hit him in a real tender spot! I thought she was a big (you know what) for hitting below the beltline, just to get the rating for her show!!!

It was very calculated, and she knew what she was doing, I believe. After that, my whole opinion of her changed, and I never liked her.

The schtick for Walters' interviews with someone like Lohan can be nothing more than getting a scoop or embarrassing the interviewee - what's relevant in Ms Lohan's life for any of us?

We all know LL has personal demons; been in rehab and that didn't work. What more does Barbra want to hear from LL???????

Exactly. Ms Walters should stick to interviews with people who are relevant to our real-world lives, to those who have overcome adversity, or people who are making significant contributions to society.

Ms. Walters should be talking to Veterans who have been injured and are struggling to get their lives back. THAT is worth listening to.
Tammy Duckworth, a retired Black Hawke pilot who lost both legs, is now a representative in Illnois. Why doesn't Ms. Walters interview her?????

You could email Walters' network or the broadcast she's on with the suggestion. It would sure be far more important than anything about Lohan.

I don't think it matters, if I were Lohan I'd pass on Walters. Walters is more interested in sensationalism and Lohan needs no more than she creates herself.

She should stay out of the limelight for awhile and give herself some time to grow up. Walters is very probing and Lindsay and her family need to stay quiet and grow up. And I mean her father too.

Barbara Walters isn't a real journalist anymore. Lindsay probably is just too strung out to do an interview.

If Barbara could convince LL to try rehab for a full year (without escaping for the weekends), and work with a drug counselor/sponsor (?) for the rest of her life, then it might be worth it to have LL come on the show. But if it's "just for the ratings," forget the interview. Lindsey is a drug addict. Rehab won't help if she has her parents around her (don't they control her money?). Look what happened to Farah Fawcette's son: in prison for drugs while she was dying ; out of prison after she died, and now he's back in again, after inheriting all his mom's money. And when he comes out, AGAIN, he'll just go back to using drugs again. So much money and all wasted on drugs.

You're right. Rehab would only work on someone who truly wants to change. I hope she does someday but you're also right about her parents. They are toxic. So sad.
