Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend, Victoria's Secret model Erin Heatherton, have split up. According to E!, the amount of time he spent on long location shoots finally took its toll on this year-long romance.
Leo's high-profile acting career has steadily kept him busy appearing in a number of big, important films that have required him to spend long periods of times in faraway locations. Recently he was away from home filming “Django Unchained” in New Orleans, with Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino, this past spring. Before that, he spent a long time in Australia working on “The Great Gatsby” with Tobey Maguire and “Moulin Rouge” director Baz Luhrmann.
Unfortunately, it appears that the pair have finally decided that enough is enough, even though it had gotten to the point where Erin met Leo’s mother Irmelin during a romantic adventure in Mexico back in January. A source has apparently said that there’s no ill will between them, but both have yet to make an official statement.
