Led Zeppelin has inked a deal with music streaming giant Spotify, which announced Wednesday that it will no longer charge for mobile access to the service.

Although it's unclear if the now free-mium mobile access feature swayed their decision, the British rock group granted Spotify an exclusive license, having previously refused offers from music streaming services.

While this may be good news for music fans, some industry professionals might be scratching their heads, especially considering the recent Spotify controversy with Radiohead's Thom Yorke. The rock group's lead singer repeatedly criticized the service, claiming its artist royalty payouts were far too low. As a result, Yorke pulled his solo work from Spotify in addition to albums from his other band, Atoms for Peace.

What do you think, SodaHeads? Are you thrilled to see Led Zeppelin join Spotify? Should other artists get on board, or does the service simply exploit songwriters?

I use to come home from ad was greeted with Led Zeppelin playing full blast on the (old) stereo. If I never have to listen to them again it would not hurt my feelings. My husband just had Feelings by Morris Albert on, now that is my kind of song.

Spotify don't pay royalties. They pay the record companies. It's the record companies in charge of paying the artists from there.

Makes no difference to me I love Zep, I'll listen to them no matter what. However, it does make me hopeful that they have made this move for other reasons, maybe they are trying to broaden their fan base to an even younger audience because maybe, just maybe they are considering a tour.

I couldn't agree with u more. Even though I wasn't born around the time when there was REAL music I still like music from the 60's through 80's more than I like todays music. I absolutely LOVE classic rock, among my favorites are Zeppelin, The Stones, Hendrix, Janis Joplin just to name a few :-)

I was lucky enough to be a young man during the apex of rock...I saw every great band from the Doors when I was 9 to Zeppelin and everyone in between ...I feel bad for the young people today, it's not their fault they have never had the opportunity to see real talent, real professional musicians and singers live on stage---they have nothing to compare the current crap to

That is so cool that u got the chance to see these great bands live! I've always wanted to go to a concert but the tickets are too expensive, I would luv to see The Rolling Stones (my fav band). The last great talent we've lost was Michael Jackson, and now that he's gone music will NEVER be the same again. Michael Jackson was one of many who have made some great music & he was very versatile.
