Just in time for Emmy nominations, the three main actors on "Glee" will officially be leaving the quirky musical-turned-show after season three. The show's producers, including Ryan Murphy, announced the trio will actually graduate from high school like other normal teens.

It's definitely hard to imagine gleek-ing out without Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith -- arguably the characters with the most air time on the show. But don't fret, talks of a spin-off are already underway.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Rachel and Kurt became roomies in college? We smell a future Emmy nod.

And Kurt does to so they MIGHT be roomies!! But what about finn?!? And Then there's only gonna be artie mike and puck!!!! so there's a possibility Quinn will get back with puck!! and sam is leaving to!! :(

of course it will not be the same, might be better or might be worse, it is an ensemble show and the main characters are in High School. Students grow up, the writers are imaginative. There is no reason to lament the loss of these characters, "The show must go on"

No, of course it won't be the same, they ARE the three main characters (at least that's what i see them as) ....But it will still be AWESOME! At least i hope so :)
So only they're graduating? What about the others? Are they younger then? I just assumed they were all in the same year. Have we ever really been told what age they all supposed to be?

I meant to vote no. After they leave, it will never be the same. But thats because it will have different people in their spots. I will still watch it, because its my favorite show. But if I find that the future characters aren't as lovable, then I guess not....We'll just have to see...

Of course not, you change the cast, you change the show. What doesn't make sense is why it's JUST those three, definitely Quinn should leave too seeing as she went out with Fin, they're clearly meant to be the same age, and Puck too. Not saying I want them to, I love them, but if they're leaving to be realistic, then more than just the three should leave, otherwise they can say that the Glee kids are actually younger...

You see, you can get three more fictional characters to take their place. It's called writing, this is a story and can be altered to encompass a good deal more. Kids graduate from school and life goes on and so it does in fiction. No animals or people will be injured in this transition. What are we three? Hello moon!!!!

But DIFFERENT doesn't mean WORSE. The producers have been clear from the beginning that they were going to let the students graduate in REAL time ... maximum four years in high school. Everyone has known this for years. I think part of the problem is that they haven't been introducing enough new students each year and letting some other students leave every year, so it's going to feel like a big jolt. But hopefully, they won't make the same mistake again.

it'll never be the same, perhaps still watchable, there are other characters i like on the show besides chis, lea, and cory. but i'll definitely miss the old dynamic of the show, especially since none of the contestants on the glee project have the charismatic charm of the rest of the cast and couldn't ever take their place on the show. But i firmly support any spinoff they may be thinking about, i'll follow that more closely than i would glee if its got chris colfer in it!
