I hate the regular law and order, i love the svu series. I probably wouldn't buy them though when I can get them online. And I doubt the actual series is the much, it's probably some dumbass being cocky.

That's nice, pretty cool indeed, but it was still cheaper in China :p And I live here in Finland nowadays where everything is so super expensive that I can never afford anything.

For 20 odd years of a classic show, with however many episodes in the set for a true fan, I think it's a bit high not as bad as some other dvd sets out there.

I loved the show (until the last few seasons after they promoted Sam to the DA's job), but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for shows that I can watch every day on reruns.

Every episode is on Netflix instant watch anyways and that is only like $8 a month. This is mainly for die hard fans.

I cannot imagine anyone wanting 104 discs of anything in one purchase, except a true fanatic and I doubt there are many of those.
$6.75 per disc is really an attractive price if you want to buy this mamouth set.

DVS's are really cheap to make anyways. a blank one can be bought for $1 by itself so to make a disc has to be less. a lot more of the cost would be from the artwork and sending them out.

You also have to pay off development cost, pre-production Cost, production cost, post-production costs. Most TV show costs about $800,000 - $2 million per episode. So add that cost into each DVD and it will raise the price to around $20 per DVD. Then add in the profit the company needs to make to make it worth it to keep the TV Show and the price will rise to about $25 per DVD. And like you said, distribution costs are also a factor. I am going for an Economic degree so I have to know random stuff like this.

It would be interesting if they used the same investigative techniques to investigate 9-11 which no one on military complex TV seems to want to do for some *smirk* reason, so Jesse Ventura had to take it on.
