Singer Lauryn Hill pleaded guilty Friday morning to tax evasion. She could face up to three years in jail if she's not able to pay back what she owes before her November sentencing. Hill's attorney claims that she is being targeted by the federal government because of her celebrity status.
Hill gave her side of the story in a lengthy blog post a couple weeks ago, stating she had to go underground in order to protect her family from being "manipulated and controlled by a media protected military industrial complex”. While "underground" she claims to have used all of her resources to protect her family instead of paying her taxes. What do you think? Is Hill being unjustly targeted by the government or does she deserve jail time?
The former Fugee failed to file three years of taxes.

Read the IRC(internal revenue code). Show me where an individual is a corporation?
Show me where your occupation is listed as required to file and pay?
How about getting the IRS to show you an ODM number that the 1040 is even a legitimate document?
Taking it to a... whole... 'nother... level!
She does deserve rap on the knuckles however - that she might not be so fortunate next time
The real question is: WHY are celebrities and Politicians not held to the laws of this country?
Besides all that, Lauren Hills excuse is wacky. She might as well said that Aliens from Outer Space told her not to pay her taxes. Toss her in jail and she will LEARN that she has to pay like everyone else.
"I want my mommy!"
And wearing that hideous outfit...
