Lady Gaga

Gaga has been spotted wearing a fur coat twice in the last couple of weeks -- one of which she hinted could possibly be the real thing -- and PETA suspects she might be a "turncoat."

  2. Kim Kardashian

    Kim Kardashian

Kardashian has been flour-bombed on the red carpet over her love of furs, and now PETA tells Gaga: "By wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you're making yourself a target just like the mindless Kim Kardashian."

  3. Kanye West

    Kanye West

“Someone tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor,” West raps in his song "Theraflu." PETA fired back: "What’s draggin' on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings."

  4. The Olsen Twins

    The Olsen Twins

PETA lashed out at the twins for their use of fur in their fashion line The Row: "If it looks like a troll and acts like a troll, it's probably a Trollsen Twin -- or someone wearing one of their new $17,000 totes."

  5. Jennifer Lopez

    Jennifer Lopez

Last year, Lopez posed for Vanity Fair in an Arctic fox pelt. PETA responded: "People who wear fur are either ignorant or arrogant about animal suffering. J-Lo is situated firmly in the arrogant camp."

  6. Rihanna

    Rihanna

When RiRi wore ostrich feathers last year, PETA reportedly said: "We keep hoping that Rihanna, a victim of violence herself, will learn to open her heart and start empathizing with the suffering of others."

  7. Paris Hilton

    Paris Hilton

In 2005, PETA named the heiress the worst-dressed celeb in America. "Now we know what happens to all of Paris Hilton’s cast-off pets," the group said at the time.

  8. Victoria Beckham

    Victoria Beckham

In 2010, PETA told Vogue that they sent Beckham a video to persuade her not to use animal skins in her fashion line.

Lady Gaga loves going naked, but she'd rather wear fur. The star has been spotted wearing a fur coat twice in the last couple of weeks -- one of which she hinted could possibly be the real thing -- and PETA is pretty PO'd.

lady gaga

"Many of your gay fans, I among them, have long admired what you told Ellen: 'I hate fur, and I don't wear fur,'" Dan Mathews, Senior Vice President of the People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals, wrote in a message to Gaga obtained by Radar Online.

"I included a link because these recent photos of you in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass make it appear that you have amnesia," he continued. "What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it's fake, or are you a turncoat? By wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you’re making yourself a target just like the mindless Kim Kardashian."

Last week, Gaga was spotted in a bright pink fur (which was probably fake), and this week, she wore another fur, but refused to confirm whether it was real or faux. "For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don't forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank You! LOVE, gaga," she tweeted.

PETA are a bunch of hypocrites that kill anywhere between 80 to 90% of the animals they take in.

PETA is disgusting. They attack people wearing animal clothing rather than stopping the the source. Yeah, I'm sure tweeting about Lady Gaga will make everybody pay attention to the plights of animals.

Also, remember a while ago when PETA decided to free a farm full of violent mink that had been raised in captivity into an area that was not part of their ecosystem? They then continued to kill thousands of animals before dying out themselves as they couldn't cope in nature. Yeah, that's ethical, making animals fight each other.

While I am for the ethical treatment of animals, the best way to support that is to protest fur farms, only eat meat from bio brands and protest farms that treat animals cruelly. Not by throwing red paint at people at fashion shows.

I might actually consider supporting Peta if they actually spent time helping animals rather then just hating on people who wear fur or eat meat. Oh and if they stopped comparing animal rights to human rights.

She is a piece of shyte imo. She is like Hitler to the animals like Hitler was to the Jews. He actually skinned Jews alive and used their skin for things like lampshades. I mean really, I don't see the difference between Loony GaGa and Hitler in this respect. And wtf is a Gaga anyway? What did she have a kid give her that idiotic name?

It's a stage name alot of people have them. I think there is a big difference between the holocaust and a fur coat. I have never once seen her be a whore yes she takes naked pictures but in an artistic way. Her shoes might be a little provacative but that's a show and artists do that. If you also notice above all the pictures are posted of her wearing s jacket and not once is her right hand tucked in it so she is not apart of the illuminati.

Exactly. They do not believe animals should be used by humans for ANY reason.

Including companionship. They do not think your pet should exist, and they would rather kill all of them.

You're right, more people need to know about this. I get crap from PETA b/c I donate to several shelters and the ASPCA. The PETA flyers have always gone straight to the recycle bin. Now I want to make sure more people know this about them.

PETA's goal is in no way to take in as many animals as possible. It is rather to promote the ethical treatment of animals by other individuals and organizations. They can't accomplish this goal (which is a goal based on public awareness and, to a lesser extent, legislation) when all their finances are being drained by the care of thousands of individual animals.

This does not justify killing the animals instead of giving them to animal shelters? They are simply against animal ownership in general.

Animal shelters euthanize animals. And the only reason that PETA had those animals in the first place is that people treat them as an animal shelter, even when their primary goals are something else. Do you think animal shelters are immoral for euthanizing unwanted animals they cannot afford to care for?

Maybe, but it still doesn't excuse the FACT that wearing fur is murder. plain and simple. They breed these poor animals just to be killed for THEIR fur. Do you know that there are countless times where these animals are skinned ALIVE?
I don't like PETA and I agree they are hypocrites, but they are right when it comes to fur and animal testing and farm animals.
NO, I do not give them money.

I support killing animals to eat them, humanely... and if they can be used for food, also use any other part that is useful. But just killing for sport or the fur does not seem right...

I wonder if PETA hq's use rodent control or pesticides?
