Lady Gaga

Gaga has been spotted wearing a fur coat twice in the last couple of weeks -- one of which she hinted could possibly be the real thing -- and PETA suspects she might be a "turncoat."

  2. Kim Kardashian

    Kim Kardashian

Kardashian has been flour-bombed on the red carpet over her love of furs, and now PETA tells Gaga: "By wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you're making yourself a target just like the mindless Kim Kardashian."

  3. Kanye West

    Kanye West

“Someone tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor,” West raps in his song "Theraflu." PETA fired back: "What’s draggin' on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings."

  4. The Olsen Twins

    The Olsen Twins

PETA lashed out at the twins for their use of fur in their fashion line The Row: "If it looks like a troll and acts like a troll, it's probably a Trollsen Twin -- or someone wearing one of their new $17,000 totes."

  5. Jennifer Lopez

    Jennifer Lopez

Last year, Lopez posed for Vanity Fair in an Arctic fox pelt. PETA responded: "People who wear fur are either ignorant or arrogant about animal suffering. J-Lo is situated firmly in the arrogant camp."

  6. Rihanna

    Rihanna

When RiRi wore ostrich feathers last year, PETA reportedly said: "We keep hoping that Rihanna, a victim of violence herself, will learn to open her heart and start empathizing with the suffering of others."

  7. Paris Hilton

    Paris Hilton

In 2005, PETA named the heiress the worst-dressed celeb in America. "Now we know what happens to all of Paris Hilton’s cast-off pets," the group said at the time.

  8. Victoria Beckham

    Victoria Beckham

In 2010, PETA told Vogue that they sent Beckham a video to persuade her not to use animal skins in her fashion line.

Lady Gaga loves going naked, but she'd rather wear fur. The star has been spotted wearing a fur coat twice in the last couple of weeks -- one of which she hinted could possibly be the real thing -- and PETA is pretty PO'd.

lady gaga

"Many of your gay fans, I among them, have long admired what you told Ellen: 'I hate fur, and I don't wear fur,'" Dan Mathews, Senior Vice President of the People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals, wrote in a message to Gaga obtained by Radar Online.

gaga

"I included a link because these recent photos of you in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass make it appear that you have amnesia," he continued. "What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it's fake, or are you a turncoat? By wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you’re making yourself a target just like the mindless Kim Kardashian."

Last week, Gaga was spotted in a bright pink fur (which was probably fake), and this week, she wore another fur, but refused to confirm whether it was real or faux. "For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don't forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank You! LOVE, gaga," she tweeted.

PETA are a bunch of hypocrites that kill anywhere between 80 to 90% of the animals they take in.

Maybe if Lady Gaga wore a fur coat made out of live poodles she would get more attention from PETA. :-p

PETA has no role in life. They'd rather have a bunch of fools run around naked than eat beef? WOW...(or wear fur)

I couldn't care less what celebs do to piss off those idiots at PETA. More power to them. Wear that fur coat. Wear that leather jacket. Eat that bacon cheeseburger. And do it right in front of them. Go for it. And if they splash red paint on you, you have every right to beat the living snot out of them.

...but who cares what PETA thinks.... I'm all about fighting animal cruelty, but PETA goes about it in a extreme, overbearing, hypocritical, and down-right irritating manner. There are better ways to go about things... then again, no reasoning with the insane, I suppose.

"Look at that atrocious fur coat," she scoffed while finishing her second hamburger.

Lol. I really don't see how it's not that big of a deal to eat animals but it is to keep their fur. When an animal is being used for meat, you might as well take its hide. You're killing them either way, and human beings do not need meat to live, so meat is not a necessity (I'd have been dead years ago).

But that aside, PETA are a bunch of crazies who don't realize how the animal kingdom works...Why don't they go protest the unnecessary killing of animals by other animals?Don't think it happens that animals kill things without eating them?

Lady Gaga, think about your little dog in your arms, would you want him or her to be furless? All people who wear real fur should stop wearing it,a faux fur would do just fine and probably will look better then a real fur!

Real fur always looks better than faux fur because it's softer and more resilient, and is real.

Really SOUL4REAL...you really know nothing about real life. Fur has the animal's skin attached to it. Wow. Wool is taken without skin, from cutting sheep's pelts off, but it's good for them because they can get matted and tangled. But fur, no...animals die for fur.

No, it's worse. They tear the fur from the animal while it's living and then allow it to die from blood loss. I would post pictures, but they're obviously too graphic. On youtube there is a video of a someone tearing the fur off of a dog while it cries for help. That just is NOT right. Sure, individual people may hunt an animal- end its suffering and then use the fur, but that is not how fur farms operate.

Real fur, if high quality, looks and feels much better than fake fur, and is a better insulator. Mind you, anyone outside of the arctic and antarctic circle shouldn't need fur, synthetic insulators are satisfactory enough for most cold weather.

That being said, anyone who owns vintage furs, why wouldn't they wear it? Something they inherited from a grandparent, perhaps? Would you rather it sit in a closet, a complete and utter waste, or would you rather it actually be worn, put to use? Seems to me like you'd be honouring the dead animal more if you actually used it for something rather than just throwing it away like a piece of trash.

The great damn cause of getting to be a nice warm beautiful fur coat for somebody. That's what cause, are you too dense to figure that out? Some people just need a fur coat and any animal should be happy to provide this for somebody. It's a worthy sacrifice.Animals exist for the purpose of providing us with delicious meat and beautiful coats, is that so hard to figure out?

To be honest, I think PETA forgot about their initial goal of what they set out to do a long time ago, it's a fund-raising organization, not an animal rights organization.
