Lady Gaga Tweets 'Pop Stars Don't Eat': Inappropriate or Honest?

Lady Gaga has kept a relatively low profile lately, but a recent tweet has her Little Monsters biting back. On Tuesday, the 26-year-old recording artist tweeted, "Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad and dreaming of a cheeseburger." Harmless enough, but it was the hashtags she added at the end that had critics wincing: #PopSingersDontEat, ironically followed by #IWasBornThisWay.
Now the Twitterverse is attacking Gaga for using the hashtag, accusing her of "endorsing anorexia." One user wrote, "Lady Gaga's #PopSingersDontEat tweet is just wrong & makes her sound like a hypocrite. Lost some respect now." However, others say it's being blown out of proportion. Another user wrote, "#PopSingersDontEat = Not eating whatever the heck you want. Didn't anyone teach you not to take everything literally?" Do you think Gaga's latest tweet was inappropriate -- or was she just trying to keep it real?

+10Truthfully, the most "full" life they have is probably in front of the camera. They eat fame and starve to look "good". It's ugly, but its probably very true. I wish she had said they eat "pop tarts". But, maybe that is more something someone like Marilyn Manson would say..... *ponders*

I wish people could see the pop stars and hollywood types as they really are....self involved, egatisical, blow hards....most of them. They should just live their life the way they wish and keep their BS to themselves so it does not invade little girls. I mean really think about that old fashion guy making comments on Adel's weight ....girls see that and then look to themselves and think Wow I don't want people to think that about me...I will stop eating because I want thighs that don't touch or a concave belly.....Insane.

By the way, Lady Gaga did not say it was proper to refrain from eating.
She's watching her diet: End of story. I also have a salad and wonder how good a cheeseburger would taste instead, but I can't have the cheesburger because of health concerns.
Sheesh.
Lady Gaga has been open and honest about her struggles with bulimia. Why can't "born this way" include accepting yourself, even if you have disordered eating patterns?
Or, why can't it be as simple as just not eating whatever you want? We're awful quick to defend over-eating and support over-eaters, but awful quick to scream at those who suffer from anorexia or bulima, or even those who care about their figure.
In one interview she told the interviewer that all she looks for in a partner is a "big dick" and of course she was being sarcastic, yet a bunch of people took that literally, and the interviewer didn't seem to get it either.
If she did eat cheeseburgers and gained weight, how many of these same people would be criticizing her for setting an unhealthy example for being 'fat'?
also; she's talking in a way that suggests she may have and eating disorder and people start talking about how she shouldn't talk about it at and keep pretending it comes naturally rather then that maybe she needs help and support is terribly sad in and of itself.
