I listened to both the song once and their both good but lady gaga doesn't repeat much of the lyrics unlike Carly but Carly keeps us interested in her song. But lady gaga tells a message that I can hear. I can't hear carly reason. What are you trying to tell me or us Carly?

Carly got attention she wanted but I guess she wanted more. Lady gaga just sang and told the truth about herself of being a fraud. (I hope that what I heard is correct)

Gaga is just a talentless girl with an angle to make herself rich...not unlike Marilyn Manson...in fact, Exactly like Marilyn Manson, in a more artsy, creative theft, create a cult following sort of way.

Of Course they are not going to tip the public as to what they really think of their 'sugar mommy'....they can live with the oddness--just keep those concerts coming.

Yes because (not only do I love Lady Gaga's music) but she's been around for what 5 years with 3 albums and many singles and music videos, and Carly Rae Jepsen just came out with one song and nothing else yet. Yeah...

She hasn't exactly reached "superstar" status, with one song... I'm more inclined to think she'll be a one-hit-wonder. If she does better, then all the power to her.

Looks have nothing to do with it. This is about quality, authenticity, and meaning. 'Call Me Maybe' has no point, repetitive, and she made a wish and saw a hot guy. If she got her head out of her ass she would have noticed him anyways.

I like them both to be honest but I don't really know much about Carly. I've been with Gaga for a lot longer time. I just think Gaga has more talent. The first time I heard Call me Maybe I kinda liked it. I thought she was cute and was guessing she was about 14 may be then I found out she was 26 and I heard her live and I couldn't believe such a mediocre song could be so popular. The girl has a okay voice, nothing really special but Gaga on the other hand has a amazing voice. I like them both tough but Gaga is so much better.

Where is the neither option? I think Gaga can sing...but I don't like her or her songs and while I think she is talented, I can't say to what extent b/c she doesn't stretch her voice so to speak. Carly is a typical pop singer right now, we will see where she goes. I will give her this, her voice has a good tone quality, but I'm fairly certain she is auto tuned so I can't really say much about her. Her song is easy to sing but so is Gaga's in reality.

Really I don't like either. With a break-out hit Carly has the potential to go elsewhere, but I doubt that will happen. Gaga just isn't my style, nor do I think her music is particularly difficult.

Lady Gaga has an amazing voice, amazing music, amazing sound and backup. Carly just had an awesome beat. Thats it. Carly sounds like a little girl. Period. Thats all there is to it

What Lady Gaga has: Talented in singing, composing, theater, arts, design, and overall creativity. An astounding career ahead of her, not including the amazing things she's already done. A bright head on her shoulders, such as being a marketing genius and a representative for not only music and gay rights but anti-bullying and overall acceptance and tolerance.

Carly has.... a catchy song. Maybe she has a voice, but then again she could be like Ke$ha and overbearing the auto-tune. Seriously, ONE song is popular. Are you going to go to her concert just to hear "Call Me Maybe"?? Yeah, I didn't think so.

I admit the song "Call Me Maybe" has kind of grown on me - mostly because I forced myself to like it since it's on the radio every bleeding FIVE SECONDS - but I don't see a future in her, much less one-upping this song.

In conclusion, Carly can be summed up in three words: One hit wonder.
