Lady Gaga Tells Carly Rae Jepsen to 'Watch Out' After Billboard Pass: Who Do You Like More?

Lady Gaga is a "monster" when it comes to Carly Rae Jepsen. Gaga (jokingly?) threatened the "Call Me Maybe" singer on Twitter after Jepsen's hit song surpassed "Born This Way" on the Billboard charts.

"@carlyraejepson (sic) I SEE you just swooped in and broke my BORN THIS WAY record of the most weeks at #1," Gaga tweeted. "DONT GET COMFORTABLE IM COMING FOR YOU."

Jepsen's summer hit is in its seventh week at No. 1 on the charts; "Born This Way" topped the charts for six weeks, E! Online reports. So, can Carly Rae Jepsen really top Gaga for good? Or is the Gags practically pop royalty by now? Whichever pop princess (or monster) you prefer, there's definitely some new competition in the pop world!

I chose Carly just because I like some of her other songs, but honestly, there should be a "neither" option. Carly doesn't even write her own songs. Josh Ramsay from Marianas Trench wrote and co-wrote a lot of the songs that she sings. Including Call Me Maybe.

And Lady Gaga, don't even get me started. If she was actually about the music and not the over-the-top and over-rated theatrics, I might actually listen to her. Well... maybe not. Sure, her music has a good meaning, but that's about all it has. But thank gosh people aren't calling her a "band" like they are with One Direction. "Band" implies they actually PLAY instruments.

Carly's song is overplayed and just plain old annoying. "Born This Way" has a much more meaning than "Call Me, Maybe". Born This Way made me feel beautiful, despite being bullied for being bi. All Call Me, Maybe gave me was a headache.

carly rae jepsen is average like every other pop singer in my opinion. not to mention how damn annoying that song is. " i just met you and this is crazy. here's my number...call me maybe?" ugh lame. i love gaga but i think she should just let carly have her time to shine. even though i don't like her music she didn't do anything to deserve the hate. gaga is already practically the pop queen so she should just be happy with her high status as it is.

I think they both have some talent - but to be honest, Gaga has many hits and Carly has.. one that has seemed to carry her extremely far, who knows if she'll have another. Once this song finally (please soon.. please) fades, where will she be? Another one hit wonder?

Carly Rae Jepson has already released her follow-up single, and it 'sbarely gets any radio airplay and isn't charting very high, while you can dial three different Top 40 and Vareity radio stations at once and there's a pretty good chance one of them will be playing Gaga. I can listen to Gaga and get some enjoyment out of the experience, but I have yet to hear, "Call Me Maybe". So I don't know. However...THATS the, "Threat"? Sounds like a friendly rivalry to me. I know that amongst my friends, ive certainly said worse, and i'm definitely not one for trash talking.

you make it as if gaga is the first one to do anything of this nature. she's a "personality" and singer that is all. she is unique and you don't have to like her but to say she's an "offensive reality" is a bit extreme.

Carly Rae Jepsen has done ONE thing. One dumbassed little song that worms its way straight into your brain and wallet, apparently. Whereas Lady Gaga has released and sang dozens of amazing songs, with actually meaningful lyrics, such as Born This Way or Edge of Glory. Maybe Carly Rae has more talent, but we have yet to see that.

I'm getting tired of people saying that Carly only has one song. That's rediculous. She only has one MAINSTREAM song. So if you'd stop only following trends and look up music for yourself, you'd realize that she has a lot more songs that are better and showcase more talent than Lady Gaga.
