Lady Gaga Starts 'Body Revolution': Great Message?

Lady Gaga is starting a "Body Revolution" -- literally. The Mother Monster has launched a Body Revolution section on her website LittleMonsters.com, meant to "inspire bravery."

Gaga has been under fire recently for gaining an admitted 25 pounds. On the site, the singer posted a picture of herself in her bra and underwear with the caption: "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15."

Now, she wants fans to join in and "celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws'": "Hey Guys its Gaga," she wrote. "Now that the body revolution has begun, be brave and post a photo of you that celebrates your triumph over insecurities."

In a blog post, Gaga explained the motivation for "Body Revolution": "My weight/loss/gain since I was a child has tormented me. No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But you have. My boyfriend [Taylor Kinney] prefers me curvier, when I eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I'm happy. Happier then I've ever been. I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And I love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well." The sooner you stop resenting yourself or individual parts, the better. It is your own fear and resentment that makes you try to cover it up, ignore it and quit using it with your body as a whole.. When you deny and ignore it or yourself you just make the problem worse/manifest it yourself.. It's all in your head, open up and be proud to exist. 13.5 billion years of the universe turning yields YOU. Pretty cool, most people are just blind.

It's all about self promotion for whatever shelf life Stephanie has left for her persona. She is doing whatever she can to stay relevant to her public, so be it. She is not in my field of view (except in this poll) and I do not seek out her opinions or preferences. At this point, it is some harmless publicity.

Lady gaga isnt fat, she's gorgeous, and her message is inspiring. However, her fans shouldnt be as bare as her if they decide to post pics..... It's the internet, everyone will see them >.<

Im tired of reading about her every move. Gaga, the Kardashians, Lohan, Beiber, Kanye - these people are more famous for being famous - or infamous - than for anything they've ever done in their careers. Has it come to this? It's all about the attention and nothing about the talent?

Especially since her song Born this way is another way to tell us the same thing. I think the only reason she does the shock rock thing is because she is trying to get us to listen to a few things. Most people don't see enough of the beauty in her tactics, though sometimes she does lay it out a little on the thick side most of the time. But if we opened our eyes a little more, I think she would be a little less out there. Gaga is gorgeous, normal or ab. Though I don't usually enjoy some of her stunts I do understand its just for attention's sake. Her message here is honest and worth taking time to consider. "Love yourself for who you are.

Y'know, as whacked out as she normally looks (blue hair, blue armpit hair!), she's remarkably pretty and natural-looking here, for a photo that's supposed to showcase her insecurity and flaws.

To me her message is really more showing the wonders of modern makeup. Compare the photo here to her music video's etc. It's good to see, as most men don't seem to realize that these high profile woman look like your everyday woman or worse in many cases without their 3 inches of makeup on. So congrats for showing us just how good your makeup is Lady Gaga. (and blond wigs). (and push up bras).

It's nice to see a celebrity get down on the level of everyday people. And since her fans are primarily younger women and teenage girls, she's sending a good message about health and acceptance :)
