Lady Gaga Shaves Her Head in Honor of Friend's Late Mother: Sweet or So Ugly?

Lady Gaga has shaved her head. It isn't pretty, but it's for a good cause. The Mother Monster shaved part of the back of her head in honor of her friend, celebrity photographer Terry Richardson, whose mom died on Tuesday. See more celebs who have shaved their heads in the video below!

Gaga tweeted a pic of her partially bald head with the caption: "I did it for u Terry. I'm sorry about ure mommy. She has princess die, but were all princess high," a comment that seems to allude to her new song "Princess D.I.E." As much as we admire the tribute, Gaga looks a lot better with ... hair.
Don't you think? Or do you think it was a sweet thing to do?

Alright, to anyone who said "So Ugly" intentionally and without humorous intent, let me ask you this:
What if this was Betty White we were talking about? Or how about Julia Roberts? Sandra Bullock? Barbara Streisand? Jennifer Anniston? Insert pretty much ANY well-known female celebrity here.

What would you say then, hm? You would find it honorable. If it were pretty much ANY other iconic celebrity, you'd be tickled pink about it.

But no. Because it's Lady Gaga, chances are you hate her already as a bias because "OH MY GOD SHE'S SO DIFFERENT/FREAKY/WEIRD/A CULTIST/SUPPORTS GAY RIGHTS/A LIBERAL/FEMINIST!!" or any of the other stereotypical reasons there are Lady Gaga haters.
So then, JUST because it's someone YOU don't like, doing something FOR someone else, out of the kindness of her heart no less, you choose "SHE'S SO UGRYYY!!!" ... even though WE ONLY SEE THE BACK OF HER HEAD.

Genius logic, am I right?

Thankfully some of us recognize an act of charity when we see it because we aren't cursed with closed minds and tunnel vision. If this was anyone else, by the way, I would still find it honorable.
And yes, as much as I cringe to say it, I'd even consider it just as honorable if Nicki Minaj or Justin Bieber... or, yes, even Mitt-astrophe Romney did it. I'm just sayin'

Man we need to be friends on here haha I am going to request you as soon as I figure out how to... new-ish on SH and all... but yeah you strike a valid point... there are SO many morons who hate Gaga just because she's odd... okay just figured out how to reply, i know that sounds really stupid cos it's really obvious, but the blonde hair dye grows out with every dumb thing i say/do. you are amazings i love what you said about lady gaga, i think it's really deep and meaningful, and i hate how everyone judges on first glance, yea i guess she is a bit weird, but weird is what makes the world interesting and i love that you didnt judge lady gaga like everyone else. Again you are amazings.

Attention! Attention! Attention!! That's all I hear from this woman. Not everything this woman does is attention worthy. While I can see the nice side of doing something like this for a friend the bit I don't understand is how it's connected to her friends moms death?? If she had cancer I could sort of get it but wouldn't shaving it all off be more to the point.. or is that too crazy for Gaga?? I believe thats the next thing to come. Whatever... I care not

Its not ugly of what she did, maybe there is a reason behind it that you don't know? Media doesn't tell us what we need to hear, only what they want. That person obviously meant a hell of a lot to her.

I seen her concert and she is very literate, her songs have a meaning. When I heard 'Princess D.I.E' I know she put thought into that beautiful song and what the people she had in that song had a special place in her heart and I know she meant every word in that song....

Who cares if it looks bad or not? Regardless this is a sweet gesture. Gaga is already known to do over-the-top things anyway so this move shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone anyway.

And why are always so quick to judge the fashion statements of others? (insert obvious "that's how people are" comment here) This was obviously just a way to let her friend know that she cares, so yes, this is a sweet gesture.

she didn't have to do that, all she had to do was be there and spend time with him and even have him troll along with her on her tours and shows to cheer him up,regular things true friends would do to comfort others. but I thought is was a very kind thing to do to show humility and humanity

Hello? The guys Mother hadn't lost her hair if you'd bother to go look at his own website and see all the pics of his Mother in ICU dying - right until the last day. She had hair past her shoulder with no sign of baldness. Shaving her hair for the mother is nothing more than a publicity stunt - but as I originally wrote, I bet it wasn't even her hair in that photo.
