Lady Gaga Shaves Her Head in Honor of Friend's Late Mother: Sweet or So Ugly?

Lady Gaga has shaved her head. It isn't pretty, but it's for a good cause. The Mother Monster shaved part of the back of her head in honor of her friend, celebrity photographer Terry Richardson, whose mom died on Tuesday. See more celebs who have shaved their heads in the video below!

Gaga tweeted a pic of her partially bald head with the caption: "I did it for u Terry. I'm sorry about ure mommy. She has princess die, but were all princess high," a comment that seems to allude to her new song "Princess D.I.E." As much as we admire the tribute, Gaga looks a lot better with ... hair.
Don't you think? Or do you think it was a sweet thing to do?

Alright, to anyone who said "So Ugly" intentionally and without humorous intent, let me ask you this:
What if this was Betty White we were talking about? Or how about Julia Roberts? Sandra Bullock? Barbara Streisand? Jennifer Anniston? Insert pretty much ANY well-known female celebrity here.

What would you say then, hm? You would find it honorable. If it were pretty much ANY other iconic celebrity, you'd be tickled pink about it.

But no. Because it's Lady Gaga, chances are you hate her already as a bias because "OH MY GOD SHE'S SO DIFFERENT/FREAKY/WEIRD/A CULTIST/SUPPORTS GAY RIGHTS/A LIBERAL/FEMINIST!!" or any of the other stereotypical reasons there are Lady Gaga haters.
So then, JUST because it's someone YOU don't like, doing something FOR someone else, out of the kindness of her heart no less, you choose "SHE'S SO UGRYYY!!!" ... even though WE ONLY SEE THE BACK OF HER HEAD.

    Genius logic, am I right?

Thankfully some of us recognize an act of charity when we see it because we aren't cursed with closed minds and tunnel vision. If this was anyone else, by the way, I would still find it honorable.
And yes, as much as I cringe to say it, I'd even consider it just as honorable if Nicki Minaj or Justin Bieber... or, yes, even Mitt-astrophe Romney did it. I'm just sayin'

This act of hers may seem like a good intention, but it's still all for attention.

What will this woman not do for attention? Can she not survive on talent alone or is she utterly lacking in self-esteem or need for attention? (Not to be insensitive, but does she have any blind fans?) Seek counseling, hon, if not full-time psychiatric help.

Gaga did NOT DO THIS to HONOR anybody! That was a lie. She did this in preparation for the launch party of her new fragrance, during which she will have a tattoo placed in the exact spot that has been shaved--in prep for the Tat! Not as an Honor for a celeb friend's Grandmom. Bad Form, Gaga!

good for her. gaga at least thinks of others and does things no matter what people think. the top opinion says it best. people say she's hideous and i've seen way worse. i personally find her pretty. people just hate because they judge her right away by her look and different personality. not to mention the nut job conspiracy theorists thinking she's a devil worshipper XD go mother monster! keep marching to the beat of your own drum. lady gaga rules

It may be considered crass that it was "just for a friends Mother", but millions of mothers die ever year and don't get such a show of support. If a specific cause of death was stated, like support for a war on cancer or other life shortening conditions shaving one's head if often appreciated by family. Shaving a small a patch of hair on the back of the head that is covered up in public or during a performance seems no more supportive than Gaga shaving her armpits. To boast of it in any other way is just hollow flash with no heart or spirit into it.

I'm not crazy about GaGa but I will definitely give her kudos for this act. I think what she did was honoring and sincere for her friends mother...the main point is awareness. Bring awareness to whatever cancers you can. Too many men, women and children are dying from the ugly disease.

To me this seems similar in a way to the Jewish tradition of tearing your jacket over your heart when a family member dies. Yes in time necessity will require you to sew up that torn lapel.. and in time the hair will grow back.. the idea is that you accept a loss in your life.

It was a sweet gesture, and one that intentionally goes against 'fashion' and 'vanity'.. Forget about the partial baldness, how many of you would be willing to even shed a single lock of hair in reverence to the loss of some one YOU loved?

While it's a nice & sweet thought on her behalf, it's not as if she's gone & done a Britney kind of head shave...barely attention or news-worthy IMO...mind you, I'm not complaining about not seeing Gaga's head completely shaven...she's ugly enough with hair...

It's not the fact that it was Lady Gaga. It's just the fact that it's ugly, plain and simple. Also, when you don't even miss a chance to plug your new single, that's just messed up. It would appear she didn't even do it for the right reason.
