Lady Gaga has made no bones about the fact that she draws a unique crowd. She’s labeled her devotees her “little monsters” and has always reminded them that it’s okay for them to be a “freak” like her. So in a world where teen bullying and suicides run rampant, she’s offering a little extra support to her diehard fans. During the run of her Born This Way Ball tour, she’ll make free counseling available to those who wish to seek it.

It’s not surprising that the pop star would go to such lengths go give back to her loyal followers. After all, she can relate to what some of her young fans are going through. Born Stefani Germanotta, she’s admitted that she, too, never quite fit in when she was growing up. And last year she launched her Born This Way Foundation to empower youth.
Now comes the extra support at her performances. As she explained on Facebook, “At the BornBrave Bus you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends… BornBrave Bus Is a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously no judgment, FREE real help available to all." While it might be a great outlet for people who really need it, others might shy away from tackling their issues in such a lighthearted environment. What do you think: Should people seek therapy at a show?

Clown's Head:: "Would you like Prozac with that?"
No, seriously. It's not the availability of fire arms that is killing our young nearly as much as the lack-luster attention we are giving mental health for the young.
When I was a child it was the prevailing medical belief that children were incapable of having headaches. The reasoning behind it was that headaches were caused by stress and that children were not able to experience stress.
We are more enlightened now about migraines and the fact that it afflicts the young as well as the old. But many still think that the young are not susceptible to stress.
I applaud what she is offering to her fans. Maybe SHE has prevented others from acts of violence against there institutions of learning.
We need to also make mental health a priority for the older ones as well.
Any place a person seeks out help for mental health issues is a great sign of effort to get that help. I'm sure they are professionals and dont push any other agenda. So a young person going into a bus at a concert in such a "lighthearted" atmosphere to get counseling. That person is probably needing to take those first steps towards recovery.
to render them elegible and qualified to do so?
