Lady Gaga Is Upset About Planned Biopic: Are You?

You!

Lady Gaga might be the most popular person on Twitter, but she's only 25 years old. Does she really need a biopic already? She doesn't think so. The "Born This Way" singer finally responded to news of Lifetime securing the rights to a biopic on her life, and she isn't exactly flattered. A friend told Life & Style, "She's furious. She's cringing at the thought of her life being exposed on television."

Lifetime announced that it had secured the rights in October, and immediately received criticism for trying to address a star whose career is clearly far from over. It would be incomplete at best. Until now, it was just a nameless idea. No one knew if they would go through with it. But according to Pop Crush, the project now has a title: "Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story." We're going to assume that's "Fame Monster: The Lady Gaga Story - Part 1."

Not really upset, but I do feel bad for the woman. She should have rights over her own life story, I wouldn't like people starting up to expose my personal life when I'm only 25.

I watched a interview of her that came up on the TV, she said in it that the reason she dresses up in such strange outfits and is constantly on this "character mode" is because she doesn't want people to associate her with her personal life, she says that being a celebrity, she's going to get attention either way, so she goes over the top so that the audience just sees her as "Lady Gaga" and not who she really is.

And I have no reason to judge her, it's her life, she wanted to be successful and now she is, doesn't mean she needs to be willing to give up all her personal life.

That's how it works when your not operating on talent/skill and instead cater to shock factor. Bankruptcy and debt are two different things. You can have credit card debt and still not "go bankrupt." This idea that she was ever in serious financial trouble is a joke.

Ugh, I cannot tell you how confused I am when I hear that kind of statement. She's a Julliard-trained musician and people like Elton John, Billy Joel, and Tony Bennett (probably more, I don't know) have all agreed that she does indeed have the talent. And, while I'm not well versed in what exactly happened then, I'm pretty sure the story went like she was paying for some prop or set and she just didn't have the money to. In fact, I remember someone saying (though don't quote me on it) that she was 10 million in debt at some point and couldn't pay it off until she finished her tour.

She has 5 platinum records, made 138 million dollars on tour, and according to her has only made 2 substantial purchases apart from her expenses on her tour. Where is the facepalm? I'm guessing you have a degree in business finance and can offer significant evidence for your argument against mine? Oh wait, you don't? What a surprise.

You should double-check the reply before you post a knee-jerk response, you know. Makes everything a little nicer.

Sorry I responded to whatever comment was there. I think she's talented, but honestly not THAT talented, and she doesn't actually operate on that talent. Her songs are WAY below her level of talent, but she just rides off of the drama instead of applying herself. As to going in debt, she may have (businesses and celebrities go into debt all the time without any financial worries because of the amount of cash-flow they have), but she claimed she went bankrupt, which is false.

The trouble with that is that were you're a 'public personality' (celebrities, Politicians, Radio personalities, etc), you have no rights to your Life. So long has the stuff that's written, made into a movie and/or TV special, "Unauthorized Biographies" books, photos that are taken in public, etc. isn't slanderous and/or used for Libel, there's nothing that can be done by them. That's the "downside to Fame & Fortune." That's what Sarah Palin found out the hard way with the movie, "Game Change." From what I've read about that movie, it tells about having 2008 Presidential Election & the choice that then-U.S. Senator John McCain (Ed Harris) made for the Vice-Presidential Running Mate, then-Governor Sarah Palin.

Why does she care? Seriously she is furious about her life being exposed on television? She freaking goes on talk shows all the time. She exposes herself everyday if she didn't want he life to be exposed then she shouldn't have became a celebrity. Once your famous people never leave you alone seriously not even when you die. She knew what she signed up for she shouldn't complain about this one little thing. Some celebrities make me shake my head.

Agreed but I mean no one wants their whole life to be in the spot light for everyone to criticize and tell them what to do but I mean she knew the price she had to pay to be famous. No celebrity has privacy that's why you see so many people that attack the poparazzi lol:)

The problem is that in the beginning of their career they seek out as much public attention as they can get then once their famous it like they want their privacy back.
Sorry but in this day and age no one is exempt from public scrutiny.
So I completely agree with everything you said : )

Her public personality is a character, she has a right to privacy in her personal life. No one owns her.

No celebrity has privacy which is sad but she knew what she was getting into when she became famous. I don't know many celebrities that have privacy they are in the public eye 24/7 and no matter how hard they try they will never be able to keep anything private because there are too many people who are nosy like the poparazzi. If that is a character then she isn't being true to herself that she likes to claim that she is her own person and unique. If your true to yourself you don't have a character your you no matter what lol:)

She has so many J------s,s saying mean ingnoRANT things about her it,s beyond MORONIC !!! She has way more talent that every single " reality " star and pretty much all rappers combined !!!!

Its not like we don't know her name is really Stefani Germanotta with a fairly normal upper class childhood complete with private school. Guess she doesn't want the "whole world" to know. But hey, "She was born that way", LOLOLOL.

Not too retentive. Do you have a difficult time separating reality from a stage performance?. I would suggest watching re-runs on TV and don't go to any concerts.

Seriously, what happened to this girl?

When she first came 'out', I liked her pop music and that she was cute and edgy.

Now I can't stand her. And I am not usually the type who 'can't stand' anyone. What does this all mean?

    Hmmm...

Anyway, tons of celebs have bio's done on them mid-career. It usually focuses on how and where they grew up.

I rather see Britney Spiears Biopic seeing that she has already crashed and burned and and her money hungry music people continue to bleed this mentally ill, not that great singer for anything they can get from her.
Computer genirated voice overs, slut like outfits and hair plug ins just to keep that money coming in.
    Sad : (
