Lady Gaga Gets a Concussion, Responds to Madonna: Is She Having a Bad Week?

This last week just hasn't been going Lady Gaga's way, but she's powering through like a champ. The pop star was hit in the head with a metal pole during a performance of "Judas" in New Zealand on Sunday. Hard. Later on during the show, she told the audience, "I want to apologize. I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion. But don't you worry, I will finish this show." Check out the raw footage below.

But that wasn't all. She finally responded to Madonna's anti-Gaga tirade (Madge did a medley of Gaga's "Born This Way" and her own "Express Yourself" and chanted "she's not me" at the end of the song.) Gaga said in a speech on Thursday, "that doesn't make me feel good at all. That just makes me feel like I'm not being a good human being ... I don't even want to fight back because it's more important to me to keep writing music ... things are really different than they were 25 years ago, and that's what makes 'Born this Way' so relevant for me." And sounds like rather than complain, she's getting up and moving forward.

As for Madonna - she's in a downward spiral that hit the bottom and then broke through and kept going.

I think she's having kind of a bad year generally but it's amazing how well she copes with every situation! The important thing is she got to finish the show having a strong hit on the head which caused the concussion! She at least saved her reputation, something that no other artist would care about!

Yeah you're definitely right but let's just be honest... we all judge a bad day by what we're used to! A concussion is not something unimportant, it hurts a lot and can have serious side effects If you're not careful... And she sang 16 songs after having that hit with the pole! She managed it well and she deserves to have her effort and pain recognised! It's sad, though, that everything that a celebrity comes through is presented as more important than non-celebrities problems by media!

I think she's handling it really well. I mean, Madonna is stressing her like crazy and she's really calm. That's probably going to make her more angry, but hey, passive resistance all the way ;)

Sounds more like she just b**** slapped Madonna with her "...it's more important to write music..." response! Maybe that hit in the head knocked a bit more sense into her? Regardless I think she's pretty good!
