LA Jags?

A lot of talk has been generated recently by the impending sale of the St Louis Rams. A billionaire in LA is working on building a stadium so he can buy an NFL team for LA. Problem is that he's not one of the Rams bidders so its unlikely that they'll move (thank god).
But the Jags are in a much bigger world of hurt financially and they lack a solid fan base. Its gotten so bad that some people have suggested they draft Florida star Tim Tebow just to sell tickets (though he certainly wouldn't be able to start from day one).
Anyway, a better guess for a team to move to LA would be the Jaguars. They won't survive in Jacksonville much longer.
I thought it would be fun to toss around some naming suggestions. Jaguars isn't the coolest name . . . so what would fit LA better?

Actually, I shouldn't mock them at the moment considering how piss poor my Rams have played.
The league threw them a bone when they were allowed to host a Superbowl, but that in itself was a logistical nightmare as the city couldn't handle the incoming crowds.
Moving might be good for them, but a move to LA!? I don't know.
Will LA support another NFL team? They haven't in the past.
Personally I think they'll draw fine if they win. If they go through a season like the Lions or Rams then they're toast. But they'll certainly support the current incarnation of the Jags better than Jax has.
Without another pro franchise as competition an NFL team would have that entire market to cater to. UCLA and SC fans alike could support an NFL team. Playing on Sunday means they won't have direct competition from the college teams. The market is large enough that they could easily sell tickets for 8 home games a year.
It all depends on winning though. While the fanbases of SC and UCLA are fervent and will come out no matter what, a new LA team won't have that same support. They'll dray so long as they win.
I'm also wondering about the economics of it all as well. We all know the economics of pro football is quite different from college, as you mentioned, the built in fan base of the student body and alum supporting those teams.
With no connection to a pro football franchise like that of a student body, other than winning, what will the appeal be? Perhaps pro football itself?
I can see the rich and famous supporting the team, et al, Lakers. But the Jags will need some star power to match the star power in the stands, something they currently don't have.
He also put all kind of restrictions on season ticket holders like package deals that stipulated you can only get season tickets at this price if you buy 2 or 3 years worth instead of just one and they also made cuts like no more free parking for our season ticket holders.
If you park anywhere near the stadium it's common to pay $25 a car to park.
Also the fact that that talent and coaching hasn't been what people expected so a lot of people stopped going to the games
At least the Jags compete. They came really close to beating the Colts this year and only barely missed the playoffs.
Teams don't move because the play on the field sucks . . . how does a new location help that?
They move because fan support is bad and revenues are down. This may surprise you but the Rams that just went through the worst three year period on the field still sell more than the Jags that barely missed the playoffs this year.
The only reason they are in the mix is because of stadium issues. But their fan base is really strong. The NFL probably wouldn't clear them to move.
The other team in the mix is the Bills.
Would you root for a new LA team?
The 49ers and Raiders are in the mix too.
Have you seen the stadium designs for LA? Pretty cool looking.
