  2. Will Ferrell

    Will Ferrell

His new drama "Everything Must Go" is getting solid reviews, but Ferrell is at his best in over-the-top comedies like "Old School" and "The Other Guys."

  3. Mike Myers

    Mike Myers

"Austin Powers" will always be Wayne Campbell to us. Excellent!

  4. Adam Sandler

    Adam Sandler

He's also had some "serious" roles, but Sandler will forever be known for ridiculously hilarious movies like "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore."

  5. Eddie Murphy

    Eddie Murphy

We still can't resist watching "Coming to America" and "Trading Places" every time they're on TV.

  6. Billy Crystal

The "City Slicker" stamped his genius on "When Harry Met Sally…," which is probably the best romantic comedy ever made.

  7. Bill Murray

The quiet brilliance of "Groundhog Day" sometimes gets "Lost in Translation" (Murray was nominated for an Oscar for the latter.)

  8. Chevy Chase

Looks like "Saturday Night Live" has a new movie star to brag about.

Kristen Wiig's gross-out comedy "Bridesmaids" raked in $24.6 million over the weekend, putting it at #2 behind "Thor," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While it wasn't #1, it was a very strong opening for a film featuring an ensemble cast of female actors, scoring almost $10 million more than expected.

"Bridesmaids," co-written by Wiig and produced by Judd Apatow of "Knocked Up" fame, is a chick flick at heart -- but it features at least one very, very disgusting scene that tends to be the boys' territory.

While Melissa McCarthy of "Mike and Molly" fame steals every scene she's in, Wiig brings it all together, serving as the heart of the film and stealing a bit from some of the "SNL" skits that have made her famous.

From Wiig to Will Ferrell to Mike Myers, click through our slideshow and let us know: Who's the best "SNL" cast member turned movie star?

He kinda plays the same guy every time, it's funny, but no where near the success of Adam Sandler.

SNL has produced an abundance of enduring stars, the best of which, have proven to be multidimensional actors. Although my bias is toward Murrayy, I find it difficult to exclude the likes of Crystal, Murphy, Meyers ... And on & on ...

I had to pick Will Ferrell since there's no option for "other". I think he would have been my second choice, but what about Steve Martin? I loved The Jerk and Parenthood...good movies to check out if you don't know what they are.

It is so easy to forget all the great actors that came out of SNL.

I could easilly put a random quote pertaining to Bill Murray from Ghostbusters or Groundhog Day, or something equally obvious here, but let me go a little more obscure, and kudos to anyone who gets the reference.

"Are you a bug, Bill Murray?

    And Justice For All....
Definitely All of the above, plus we are missing a few SNL Alumni. I picked Adam Sandler because he has dominated the last decade or so as far as a an actor, writer, and producer in the comedy genre and has done other works like Reign Over Me that showed a different side of his talent.
