Kristen Wiig Confirmed for 'Anchorman' Sequel: Will She Make the Classic Comedy Even Better?

"Anchorman: The Legend Continues" -- the upcoming sequel to the 2004 comedy classic -- has added another great comedian to its cast: "Bridesmaids" star and "Saturday Night Live" alumni Kristen Wiig.

The news of the casting was confirmed on Twitter; first by star Christina Applegate who tweeted "So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for anchorman2. Going 2 b best movie ever made. Besides the best movies ever made," and then by director Adam McKay, who said "Kristen Wiig is officially on board for Anchorman 2. Couldn't be more excited."

Wiig is due to play the love interest to Steve Carrel's character Brick Tamland, alongside Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner who are all set to reprise their roles. We've already seen that Ferrell and Wiig have great comic chemistry, thanks to their hilarious appearance at the Golden Globes. Are you looking forward to "Anchorman: The Legend Continues?"

I've always referred to her as Kristen who's she sleeping with Wigg. She's like an obnoxious attention demanding 5 year old. Most of her SNL characters do some repetitive
shtick with an unfunny premise that is not clever and behind the character you can see
her narscissistic sense of entitlement to be the center of attention despite really having
next to nothing to offer.

That one's okay. I like him better in Everything Must Go. When he's on his lawn drinking and the cop comes up, it's so funny.

"Stranger than Fiction" proved Ferrell could portray a serious character, a shortcoming for most comedians. "Everything Must Go" and "Casa de mi Padre" too were serious roles well portrayed. For me, it's not the actor as much as the movie. The good actor must subdue their own personalities.

I didn't like John travolta because of his arrogance after his disco movie but he has changed also Johnny dep and his arrogance but saw secret window where he has a secret pushing up the corn in his garden. But Ferrell arrrrgh ..........
