Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal Conspiracy Theory: Believable or Bogus?

Was the whole thing just a hoax? A conspiracy theory is going around the Internet claiming that the Kristen Stewart-Rupert Sanders cheating scandal was just a publicity stunt meant to elevate the careers of everyone involved -- including "spurned" partners Robert Pattinson and Liberty Ross.
The evidence is somewhat compelling. Those Us Weekly pics of Kristen and Rupert having a "momentary indiscretion" were kinda awkward, weren't they? Granted, K-Stew is usually pretty awkward, but Crushable reports that the telltale photos might have been edited or faked -- at least according to conspiracy theorists. And they've got a video to make the case even more curious!
Meanwhile, Lainey Gossip is reporting that Kristen and Rob are back on: "It was communicated to people. ...that they are [back together] but they’re worried about how it might affect his career, like whether or not there will be some kind of crazy backlash or something." More evidence for the they're-back-together theory: Kristen strutting around in Rob's clothes (which also could be wishful thinking on her part). We're not sure we buy the hoax theory, but we DO kind of hope that R-Patz and K-Stew find their way back to each other. Consider us hopeless romantics ...

+9This whole relationship is nothing but a huge publicity stunt just for more attention so that they don't feel as though their getting ignored and I find that to be really sad that attention is respected more than artistic integrity and good qualities.
Kristen: Now let's see, how can I make the whole world hate me, ruin a couple movie franchises, trash my parents' marriage, and threaten my director's marriage?
Kristen has to promote her movie "On the Road" inwhich stewart appears nude with two guys; just seems downright sleazy and cheezy following the cheating scandal f*king around with someone else's husband.
