Kristen Stewart Apologizes to Fans for Cheating: Is It Time to Forgive Her?

Kristen Stewart has had a controversial year, and has upset a lot of fans – but she wants everyone to know that she’s sorry. With her relationship with her “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson still uncertain after she was caught cheating with “Snow White and the Hunstman” director Rupert Sanders, she’s setting the record straight.

Speaking to Newsweek, she said "I apologize to everyone for making them so angry. It was not my intention." However, she also says that she doesn’t let anger and hate get in the way of her work, saying "It's not a terrible thing if you're either loved or hated. But honestly, I don't care 'cause it doesn't keep me from doing my s***."

She’s said she hates the labels that people gave her because “"It's a little annoying having to be so compartmentalized. I go from box to box to box.” But she’s also happy that she doesn’t have to hide any more, and said “Like right now, this is so crazy 'cause we're out at a restaurant. But I'm going out a lot more now. I was starting to get closed off and self-conscious, and I'm trudging forth into the world more often." Do you think it’s time to forgive Kristen Stewart?

She has no reason to apologize or be forgiven to the fans. It is a personal matter and should be dealt with in a personal way between the people it happened with. The only person who she should worry about forgiving her is Mr. Pattinson and the director's wife (though mostly her ex boyfriend)

Why should she apologize to fans or anybody else? Whatever she did or did not do is nobodys business but her own. Personally I don't know why someone as pretty and as talented as she is would be going out with that ugly weirdo anyway, but that's her business too. She is much more talented than he could ever be.

What's done is done. There is no changing that. It's in the past now, so let's leave it there. She made her mistake and she payed for it. We all make mistakes, do we not? If you want someone to forgive you for your mistakes, then you must forgive others for theirs in return. People always wanna hold on the negative things. Just let it go. Rob forgave her. We should too.

She's different than the usual starlet. She's kind of a renegade. She is super successful so she is doing a good job in someone's opinion even if a lot of people "hate" her right now. If Rob can put it behind, we should too.

We have nothing to forgive her for. She didn't cheat on the public she cheated on her boyfriend. It doesn't matter what we think but what he's thinking. The only person she should be concerned about making amends with is him.

How many celebrities do you know of stay together for their entire lives? Yes it's unfortunate and sad but thousands of regular old plain janes and johns get cheated on everyday... and don't know. At least these celebs didn't go through with a marriage and then have this cheating scandal blow up.

People cheat for various reasons. You can't sit on your high horse and condemn everyone without knowing their stories. Well, you can, but that would make you an a**hole.

If you have never been in someone's particular situation, your opinion on it really doesn't mean anything. There are plenty of things that I have not done that I can forgive others for. As long as someone regrets, there is hope. Hate and scorn just add to the bad in the world. Obviously, her reputation is tarnished. But people's hearts eventually mend, they find someone better or make their relationship stronger, and it doesn't involve you. Why don't you leave it at that and find something better to hate?
