I think for Chris it was real and for Kim just a publicity stunt. The two weren't even compatible. Chris was down to earth and all about family, Kim just wanted the spotlight and only cared about herself.

It was "legally real" even if - as I think it was - simultaneously fraudulently conceived and legally voidable. I'm certainly surprised - if it truly is the case - that Humphries' attorneys think he can get more than $10 million out of his lawsuit.

One of those quickie, rush into marriage usually happens when the woman or man gets desperate and wants to change their situation. Married and divorced gives you a freedom.
