TV star Kirstie Alley has opened up about her secret romance with Patrick Swayze. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Alley talks about the powerful attraction she shared with her co-star on the 1985 series “North and South.” Watch the video below for more details on their hush-hush relationship.
Alley admits that at the time she wanted to avoid “going down that road,” as both of them were married. “We did not have an affair,” she says, “But again, I think what I did was worse. Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you're married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage.”
Alley adds that, although she’s friends with Patrick’s widow Lisa Niemi, who asked Alley to speak at Swayze’s funeral, she doesn’t know whether she is aware of the nature of their past relationship.
