“Jimmy Kimmel Live” went head-to-head with the big boys this week when the late night show moved from its midnight time slot to 11:35 p.m., alongside both “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Late Show with David Letterman.”
According to Nielsen, Kimmel didn’t quite beat out Leno, but he did edge out his hero Letterman by more than 100,000 viewers. And he was only a mere 177,000 eyeballs behind Leno. The three million TV watchers who tuned in to see Kimmel’s new time slot debut, amounted to more than 50 percent above his average audience in the older, later slot.
By night two, Kimmel settled into third place but by very small margins and was still being seen by a bigger audience than he used to be. Of course, the proof of his success will come down the line, when the novelty wears off and viewers settle into their regular late night viewing habits. In the end, it all boils down to which host gets the best guests and which guy the viewers find funnier. So, which late-night host is your favorite?

For me there was no choice at all so I picked Letterman.
I watch a movie late at night before I go to bed.
1: He's without a doubt the funniest of the three (not that it's hard)
2: He had these guys on the show a while back:
Jimmy Kimmel second
I prefer the man who started it all.
