Kim Kardashian Whines About Psoriasis: Overreact Much?

Is it true that Kim is using deer antler velvet to help her psoriasis? I read somewhere that she was approached by a New Zealand company to trial the product, and if the results were good they would be launching in the US soon?
Anyone heard anything?
It would not surprise me if this were true, she does promote a heap of stuff!
My Brother has psoriatic arthritis and would love to find something that can help!

It can be a big deal. I have psoriasis and cannot use most of the treatments. I have severe reactions to UV lighting and the drugs have all kinds of side effects. Topical ointments help but not much. The patches are very itchy, painful and unsightly. Luckily, I only have them on one calf and one elbow.

While I am not a Kardashian fan by any stretch of the imagination, I feel compassion and empathy for anyone who suffers from this condition.

Ive had psoriasis since I was 8, im 14 now, and believe me having psoriasis is NOT that big of a deal, there are really good treatments for it! And as long as you have a good dermatologist to help then you can pretty much clear it up! I mean yeah its incurable but like i said with good treatments you can pretty much clear it up for a while. So yeah I do think shes over reacting (and by the way yes, she can get it on her face if she doesnt take care of it, she can get it anywhere.)

As far as I'm concerned, she is already in error if she considers herself as being perfect. Because she is far from perfect, at least in my opinion.

I know that it is something serious but she didn't have to yell at her mom who has it also. Her mom can help her deal with it

Psoriasis for anyone suffering from this issue is a very big deal. It can split, crack and bleed. It causes chronic itching. Psoriasis has also been linked to heart trouble, stroke and even death. Is she whining over much and over reacting. No. She's not. This is an Illness most people who don't suffer from, know little or nothing about.

My daughter was watching the episode yesterday when she discovered she had it, and I thought it was pretty immature to blame her mother and whine about it. I was coming in from the kitchen and walking through the living room when this was going on, and she was caring on so much, I had to stop and watch, and for God's sake, she was wearing capri workout pants, how much of the stuff was showing. The guy was touching up a small portion of her legs, for crying outloud. My ex-daughter in law has psoriais, and you should of seen it when she got pregnant. It got worse and looked horrible, but she didn't complain about it. She work sleevless dresses and it didn't seem to bother her any. I realize my ex-d-i-l isn't in show business, but KK should learn to deal with it. She's got money, she can have some designers design some back up clothes that are sexy that she can wear when she has an outbreak. I've seen women wear pants and a sexy top and look really good, does she have something against wearing pants? She just needs to lighten up. I can understand the shock of having something like that, since I've had weird allergic reactions that do a number on my face, eyes, or lips, but you just have to go on. She's in show biz. In show biz, the show must go on, and there are all sorts of make up artists out there that can work wonders.

Definatley not my dad has psoriasis and it bothers him very much, what she has now is just the beginning stages little but still very scary circles if I was in her position I would have freaked out too. Try finding out you have an incurreable genetic skin disease that will most likely affect your career and love/social life and see how gracefully you can handle the situation. She freaked. Anyone would freak it's not the greatest news in the world to find out.

It's conntrollable! Grow up! Dose she realy think even if she didn't get psoriasis she would be a model forever? Her carrers over the monent she gets a wrinkle.

i cant stand the family of bimbos but i do know how it can effect your life. i have a sweet and dear friend who has this condition and she was always having to try new things because while some might work for a bit ...it wouldnt last. she always had to keep trying different things because like some issues its all about the bodys own response. dont get me wrong i am glad that there may be something that gets them out of the spot light but i am sorry it has to be this....i would never wish this on another cause i have seen the suffering it can cause. and it doesnt matter how much money you have if your body doesn respond to treatments then it doesn't respond.

Ok did she not hear the doctor or something?? he said its controllable KIM!!!! stop overreacting!! Shes stressing herself out even more about it and shes making it get worse!! And she just needs to relax for maybe a week or two and calm down and not work. then it will get better. And also its from travel!!! Stop traveling then!! She totally overreacted!

having a skin condition is a VERY BIG DEAL! think abt how people freak out over acne.. and they come and go.. ohkay but her is Psoriasis and you CAN NOT cure it!! so she has a right to overreact..

Oh Kim, I still don't understand why you're a celebrity. You can't act, you can't sing...
But anyway, pretty sure you can control psoriasis with medication and ointments, and she'll probably be getting the best of that so she doesn't really have to worry.

You try finding out you have an incurreable autoimmune/skin disease that is going to appear physically across your whole body without any warning. She's human and like any human she freaked out.

She's getting hyped up for the wrong reasons. Having an auto-immune disease is no joke and should be kept on top off since you're at risk of getting more. Also, the blisters psoriasis gives you is very painful so that would kind of be more important than the looks factor.

Her celebrity is overreacted.

It's really not a big deal and since she's famous maybe she can raise awareness.

Okay and my dad has had it all his life, if you were older when you found out you probably would have reacted just as gracelessly. It's not the easiest thing to find out, I'm not saying she reacted perfectly all I'm saying is she is human and we are all allowed to freak for a minute especially when we are scared.

True but I never said it was the worst thing that could have happen to her I said it wasn't the easiest thing to find out.. I'm not trying to argue or be arrogant or anything like that I'm just saying I know if I found out that I had contracted this from my dad maybe I wouldn't yell and go off but I'd probably spend some time crying before i realized that life goes on and it is defiantley "not" the end of the world.
