In a shock announcement, Kim Kardashian has revealed that she will be leaving the reality show that made her a household name. According to a recent interview, the ninth series of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" could be her last.

Speaking to DuJour Magazine, the pregnant star -- who is carrying the baby of her boyfriend Kanye West -- said "I think there's always an evolution of, you know, what you want to do in life."

Apparently, Kanye has a lot to do with this decision. Kim said that he "has taught her a lot about privacy" and says that she is now "realizing everyone doesn’t need to know everything." Ya think?!

However, Kim will continue to appear on the show for a good while yet. The family signed a three year contract with E! back in April 2012. Season 8 is due to hit screens in summer 2013. Do you think that the reality show could survive without Kim?
