Kid is killed by rollercoaster in Six Flags Park.

They have warnings and if he did that was his decision. He saw the signs and listened to the warnings.

There's really only so much you can do to stop people from being idiots, and this once again proves that a determined idiot can do anything.

This kid was about 16 if I remember right. He can read. He chose to disregard the warnings. Now I remember feeling immortal at that age and a lot of them do. But some don't make it either. And he didn't.

...there is really nothing more to say...I am sorry to have to agree with such a blunt comment, but "you can't fix stupid"...there is only so much one can do to warn people of danger...and over a fucking hat??? If you have enough money to go to an amusement park, you can buy another hat for the head you will lose if you don't follow the direction of danger signs

If there were warning signs right in front of him.... well, its 2 fences. He shouldve known those fences weren't for show.

I'm sorry.. but there was clear warning signs.... and it was 2 fences!!! If he didn't know what he was doing was dangerous by the first fence he'd never learn.

what has this world come to when we need to put up signs about not climbing fences when fences were made to keep people out and a water hazard well you would think the word hazard would spark some kind of warning and then the fact that the kid had to climb over the rollercoaster...seriously where is the common sense...i have no sympathy for the idiots that are here but i feel bad for the parents for their loss but they also shouldnt have raised a moron

I wasn't there but I heard there was a warning sign. Of course, the kid didn't think that applied to him.

well hazard means warning so there had to be something and people should realize that a fence doesnt mean "Hey come on and climb over me" lol

Exactly! If the group can't watch one of their own its their fault, its not the kid's fault. Even though if he lost his hat in the first place he should have told a guard so they can SAFELY get it for them.

They should at least have WARNINGS to warn about these things. And plus, we don't even know how old the kid was. Sure older, more mature teenagers get the point but we never know what can be going on in the mind of a younger teenager. Even though it was his fault and he should have been more careful, we have to take precautions to things like this.

I believe he was 15. What more would you want the park to do -- pay armed guards 20 feet apart 24 hours a day in case some stupid kid comes by and ignores the danger?

He is a teenager, how do you know he was 17?

You can't blame it on the kid that he died. Well sure, he was stupid to not watch the signs but its the guardian's fault they weren't watching him.

Still if hes that dumb he should have been with someone.. and if the guardian wasen't smart enough to know that he'd do something like that the guardian deserves it.. not the kid. You can't blame the kid for dieing. Sure hes stupid enough to climb 2 fences but hes dead, blaming him isn't going to solve anything. There is obviously another sorce, like someone who never taught him to not clim over 2 fences...

Still, its dumb to blame the kid. You'd think that the parents/guardians feel bad enough that he died and other thing for people to blame him. I know it sounds dumb not to but hes dead and obiously if he were with someone of any age who knows he'd make such a dumb move its kinda their fault for not watching him.

even tho it was his own fault relli. we want to stop this. for anybody. and thats relli disturbing too. soo i say let the amusment park take action just to prevent this in all ways posssible.

Hmm.. i lost my $10 hat.. I can go buy a new one, or scale 2 fences and get through this water trap to retrieve my old one... what's the worst that can happen? I get decapitated or something?

I mean really... what goes through someone's mind? 2 fences and a water thing... maybe they are here for a reason? nah.. they just don't want me getting the hat that should have been removed from my head before i even got on the ride in the first place...
