Kerrang! Awards 2012: The Results: Are you pleased?
The awards were hosted by Slipknot 's Corey Taylor and Anthrax's Scott Ian. With over a million votes cast the ceremony was the biggest awards yet.
Black Sabbath were honoured with the Kerrang! Inspiration Award, US comedy rockers Tenacious D were bestowed with the Kerrang! Service to Rock and Slash was presented with the Kerrang! Icon award.
Surrey rockers You Me At Six collected the Best British Band award for the second year running and fellow Brits Enter Shikari were crowned Best Live Band.
Sheffield metallers Bring Me The Horizon collected the award for Best Video for the track Alligator Blood and While She Sleeps were honoured as Best British Newcomer.
Welsh rockers The Blackout picked up The Devotion Award and Atlanta prog metallers Mastodon were awarded with Best Album, for their critically acclaimed 2011 release The Hunter.
Best Single was awarded to glam metal group Black Veil Brides for Rebel Love Song, My Chemical Romance were honoured with Best International Band for the third time in their career and Falling In Reverse were crowned Best International Newcomers.
Inducted into the Kerrang! Hall of Fame were Californian heavy metallers Machine Head, in tribute to a career that has spanned over two decades.
The Kerrang! Service to Metal award was given to Live Nation VP of promotions Andy Copping, in honour of Download’s tenth anniversary. Download picked up a second award as it was named Best Festival.
HBO series Game Of Thrones honoured with Best TV Show, Skyrim with Best Video Game, and The Hunger Games with Best Film. British comedian Russell Howard added Best Comedian to his list of awards and accolades.
Justin Bieber took the Villain of the Year crown, beating off competition from Simon Cowell and One Direction. Hottest Male went to Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce whilst Hottest Female went to Lzzy Hale from Halestorm.
With over 2.5 million followers, Hayley Williams from Paramore was awarded Tweeter of the Year. Finally, Kerrang! Awards 2012 Best Live Band vocalist Rou Reynolds took home the title of Hero of the Year.
Presenters on the night included Billy Talent, Lzzy Hale from Halestorm, Skindred, Young Guns, comedians Brendon Burns and Tiffany Stevenson, Rise to Remain, Cancer Bats and Bullet For My Valentine.
