Pollstar announced this week that out of all the popular summer tours, country mega-stars Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw's Brothers of the Sun tour is the most lucrative, grossing $4,272,326.

Former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters is the runner-up with "only" $2,086,906 in gross profits, securing Chesney and McGraw's No. 1 spot. Other top contenders are Van Halen, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Drake. Have you caught any of these shows so far this summer? If not, which summer tour would you like to attend?

MUSIC.YAHOO.COM reports:
The 2012 summer season has shaped up to be a great one for live music lovers, with mega-tours in virtually every genre raking in fans in cities across the nation. Every one of the acts are also certainly raking in the bucks--but which summer tour is the most lucrative of all?

Saw Kenny in concert years ago and saw Tim when he was having the Swampstock 2 day festivities about the same time. Both very good shows.

I like Country but Chesney just doesn't do it for me. McGraw isn't to bad. I much prefer the women singing Country music....

I am still a big Keith Urban fan. I saw him once at the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando FL. He is a great performer and it is simply awesome to watch him play the guitar. See him if you get the chance.

If I could time warp back to the 80's (I am Class of 85) I would love to see Fleetwood Mac.

True - I have both of their CD's. I often hear it asked who is better, but their styles are so different it is hard to say. I know the concensus among guitar enthusaists is that Brad is the better guitarist, but Keith is "world class" also. I have read a lot about his career and he actually used to be a Nashville studio musician before he started the band The Ranch. That is a pretty elite group. I have always found it fascinating that these guys / girls are so talented that they just await a piece of sheet music - that could be from any style or genre - and they can transform it into a recording in about 2 hours. Amazing!!!

Hate them all with a passion. There is no such thing as good country music, Coldplay is fairly lame and Roger Waters needs to get back with Pink Floyd. I want to see NIN again... best show ever!

Look at how many albums Lady Gaga sells or Beyonce. I don't get that either. Horrible stuff but yet number 1 on the charts. I dare you to tell me that is good. If you like country, that's fine with me. I just don't get it. I am 50 years old and I have never ever liked it or listened to it. I do think some of the women who sing it are hot... but like I always say, if I were married to Shania Twain... she wouldn't be allowed to sing at home.
